Came in after playing golf in Sunset Beach. Menu was wide open no restrictions on making a seafood combo plate, nice touch. Scallops were great and so was the deviled crab and shrimp. Hush puppies were servred hot and fresh with honey butter. The four of had no complaints.

This place reminded me of one of our Legion Halls that serves a fish fry on Friday nights. It is a large open room with wooden floors and simple tables & chairs. Atmosphere simple, service excellent, food very good. If you are just looking for a good lunch, give this place a try.

It was a little greasy for my taste but I must admit it was a guilty pleasure. The portions were generous and my husband loved his seafood platter! Entry was confusing because we really didn't know whether to seat ourselves or how things worked. There was a fishy odor but it's on the dock...to be expected!

Somewhat impersonal due to the large open size, but efficient service. We didn't find the food memorable (I'm having trouble remembering what I ate...), but people seemed to like it. Shrimp was popcorn size and fried. Margaritas are offered "with salt or sugar on the rim." Alcohol content of cocktails similar to other restaurants in the area, i.e. watered down.... More

Four friends and I were spending a week in North Myrtle Beach and had made reservations at a similar-sounding restaurant which we thought was near us. We never found the original one, but headed to Calabash because we'd seen ads for lots of restaurants there. Saw Captain John's down the street from a larger, crowded-looking place, and decided to go... More

The Carolina Crab cakes, the sweet tea, water and the baked potato were good. The bar special was bloody marys, they’ve got to be good if that is your evening special, wrong. It was horrible and the small dinner salad looked as if it was the last one on the shelf, wilted and starting to turning brown. The crab cakes... More

I got the shrimp and scallop linguini, it was good but not quite what I expected from the description the waitress gave us. Everyone else in the party enjoyed their food and said it was very good.

We have been here previously and the food is always good. I much prefer it instead of the numerous and predictable seafood buffets in Myrtle.

I have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. Food is delicious and the staff is always attentive.
