We wanted just good ole fashioned southern seafood. Fried shrimp and scallops were wonderful!! Hot and fresh!! Would highly recommend. They were busy in February. Sure they must be packed in the summer.

This restaurant was recommended by locals so of course it is a must. Don't expect a contemporary atmosphere; this is in the old style, family owned southern beach restaurant style and food. If this is what you are in the mood for, you can't go wrong. We would return.

Since it was lunch time, I ordered an oyster sandwich instead of a plate. This came with about ten of the best fried oysters I've ever had. The breading was so light and delicate and the oysters were sweet and delicious inside. My husband enjoyed his barbecue sandwich too.

If you are hungry for good seafood calabash-style, this is the place at Carolina Beach. Don't go for the atmosphere or interesting, cool service but go for good Southern seafood. Fried oysters, scallops, & shrimp- yum! Hush puppies- yum! Oyster soup- blah. Slaw- typical school cafeteria food. Fries- ok. Easy access and pretty quick service. Plenty pricy for the experience.... I stopped in Bowmans on Friday night and ordered the 2 combo seafood plate. It was all good. The fried oysters were definitely my favorite part

This is a family owned restaurant that has been at Carolina Beach for many years. They are always very friendly and the staff is wonderful! The food is prepared fresh, and it was delicious. Reasonable prices, too!

We stopped here on our home from the beach. It was in November and we wanted to eat seafood while down. We saw this place and cars outside on a Friday afternoon so we stopped. THe food was what I expected for seafood place. We enjoyed it. I had crab cakes with mac and cheese and apple fries. My husband... More

I had heard lots of good things about this place from family. I was very disappointed. The fried shrimp I ordered was very greasy. Almost like they just took it out of the fryer and dumped it on the plate. Service was Ok. Lots of better seafood places in the area.

We eat and enjoy seafood regularly as we travel from New England to Florida and we also fry seafood at home. Was at Carolina Beach this week and wanted some fried seafood - so with limited options in the area went to Bowman's. I had fried oysters and scallops. Oyster were "OK" and scallops were the standard, frozen - possibly... More
