Asian fusion that is a perfect blend. Service is attentive, and knows the menu like the back of their hand. Always great suggestions and options. The whole experience is always great (including our most recent visit). Must not be missed if dining in Chapel Hill!

I was disappointed in The Lantern. The food was tasty but way overpriced for the quality and selection offered. I guess it's the high-end restaurant in Chapel Hill. Atmosphere (in the bar area) is dark but lively. The bartenders and servers are polite and did an excellent job. I thought that the cocktails could be improved.

I tried it based on reviews. I found that all dishes needed seasoning. The salt and pepper shrimp did not live up to expectations. It just had none of the flavor associated with this dish. The flash fried greens the shrimp was served on were just dry and crumbly. The dumpling sauce was not very flavorful and the dumpling filling... More

Lantern has been a reliable but innovative restaurant for some years now. The menu always offers surprises and the service and food are superb. The bar is a favorite. It feels like you are doing something illicit, but of course not...too bad. It can get crowded there so pick your time.

We enjoyed the salmon bento box which was fresh and delicious. The salt & pepper shrimp were also excellent. Our fish with bok choy was delicious. Excellent restaurant

We went here for a group business dinner with a special arrangement, having a room for ourselves. The food was excellent, well prepared with a sense of detail and care. I liked the fusion aspect of it, creative combinations, combined with good taste.

This lady with glasses enjoyed the cocktail "Girl Who Wears Glasses." :) We shared several appetizers and especially liked the pork dumplings. Unfortunately, the salt and pepper shrimp tasted a bit off - perhaps they were not as fresh as they should be. For the main course, we ordered the sticky rice, the crispy whole black bass, and the flat... More
