We had a wonderful dinner at Crossroads! The service was great and the food was delicious! But, it’s the small touches of detail that made the experience special. Prior to the main course, homemade cheddar biscuits are brought to the table and local honey is...More

My wife and I stayed at the Inn and had dinner on a slow, non event night. Had the salmon entrée and the scallops entrée. Both were good size portions and very well presented. Had a specialty drink that was great too. Service was as...More

We made reservations for Christmas brunch and were expecting a beautiful meal. First of all, we were seated in the bar. Next, we visited the brunch tables with an extremely limited menu with really bad food. Dry, hard French toast, Marsala was just dry chicken,...More

In all my years at and traveling to Chapel Hill, I've never eaten at the Carolina Inn. We had lunch before the football game and then hung out on the lawn. The pimento cheese appetizer with the bacon pepper jelly was excellent as was the...More

So, you're obviously paying for the experience when you dine at the Carolina Inn, and pay you do. We stayed at the inn for a friend's wedding and had both one regular breakfast and one brunch. For the standard weekly breakfast, the prices aren't insane...More

I have heard Crossroads is very good but our timing was bad as we chose a time during a major football .game. The restaurant was loud, crowded and while the server did his best to attend to us he was overwhelmed.

For unknown reasons, the Carolina Inn decided to transform its formerly classy, old-school restaurant and bar into a Panera Bread replica. The fine service manages to partly offset the uneven menu and graceless decor, but Inn's charm of yesteryear is sadly gone.

The decor is pared back with clean lines and neutral colours and the wait staff were attentive, responsive but not distracting which allows the food to do all the talking. The dishes were exquisite - beautifully prepared and presented, intense but balanced flavours - but...More

It was move in weekend and my mom was in town to visit. I am a 42 year old local, so I picked a tough weekend for a visitor. Nonetheless, we decided to tool around Franklin and have lunch at Crossroads. I am so happy...More

I know they have a sampling on the menus - a seafood dish, a chicken dish, pork dish, etc. I would recommend calling Crossroads to see if they have more than just one meat offering on the menu if you are truly bringing a... More

Casual, but if you want to be dressy, be dressy. The town is laid back, and the hotel is right in the midst of UNC campus ,so you will see college kids in shorts, and casual wear; older generations there for afternoon tea... More
