In all my years at and traveling to Chapel Hill, I've never eaten at the Carolina Inn. We had lunch before the football game and then hung out on the lawn. The pimento cheese appetizer with the bacon pepper jelly was excellent as was the...More

Fresh ingredients, southern style and generous portions. The Crossroads is a perfect place for your family Brunch or Lunch!

So, you're obviously paying for the experience when you dine at the Carolina Inn, and pay you do. We stayed at the inn for a friend's wedding and had both one regular breakfast and one brunch. For the standard weekly breakfast, the prices aren't insane...More

I have heard Crossroads is very good but our timing was bad as we chose a time during a major football .game. The restaurant was loud, crowded and while the server did his best to attend to us he was overwhelmed.

For unknown reasons, the Carolina Inn decided to transform its formerly classy, old-school restaurant and bar into a Panera Bread replica. The fine service manages to partly offset the uneven menu and graceless decor, but Inn's charm of yesteryear is sadly gone.

The decor is pared back with clean lines and neutral colours and the wait staff were attentive, responsive but not distracting which allows the food to do all the talking. The dishes were exquisite - beautifully prepared and presented, intense but balanced flavours - but...More

It was move in weekend and my mom was in town to visit. I am a 42 year old local, so I picked a tough weekend for a visitor. Nonetheless, we decided to tool around Franklin and have lunch at Crossroads. I am so happy...More

Brunch was awesome from the amount and variety of choices, decor and personable wait staff. Nick was perfect. Something for everyone.

We were totally surprised in returning to Crossroads: it has undergone a dramatic transformation since our previous visits. The restaurant lost its Southern charm (and chintz) and is now open and severe and trendy, with a re-engineered entrance and prominent bar. The food has also...More

I know they have a sampling on the menus - a seafood dish, a chicken dish, pork dish, etc. I would recommend calling Crossroads to see if they have more than just one meat offering on the menu if you are truly bringing a... More
