Good southern cooking (we had the meat and 3: pot roast, mashed potatoes, mac&cheese, collards w/ a biscuit, and fried chicken, mac&cheese, black eyed peas, collards w/ corn bread), big portions, reasonable prices, quick service, and non-profit. All proceeds go toward feeding the homeless, and...More

My 3 star rating is an average of several different factors. This was a business dinner, reservations with a large group. The decor of the restaurant is very nice, but my first thought upon walking in was 'this is a non-profit restaurant?!?" I have been...More

The location , decor, service, concept of being non profit was great. But the food was just ok. My beet salad was great and I ordered a biscuit on the side. Delicious. Then I ordered the special, chicken pot pie. Little did I know it...More

Really good menu, we enjoyed the gumbo, salmon and card cake. Good wine selection. Service needs a little fine tuning, it seems they had too few staff on a Friday night. However, they were all VERY polite and helpful. Price about $100 for two with...More

Not bad but not real good. I like their mission but the food was not a 10. Everything was just ok. I would have liked it to be a gourmet feast but it just wasn't "all that". I guess we expected southern food like grandma...More

I've only been here twice and I wish I could venture to other parts of the menu, but this dish is amazing! It's smokey, it's creamy, it's incredible. The okra fritters this trip were, too. The atmosphere at KK is bright and energetic. I'll be...More

The southern food is awesome. Meatloaf and creamed corn, bread, it's all good. I've had great servers and average servers. But definitely worth going more than once.

This is one of my fav restaurants in Charlotte. It is consistently outstanding and if you order the world's best fried chicken, it comes with 3 farm fresh sides, and cornbread...and you cannot beat that price, for that much food, at any major restaurant in...More

We had a delicious dinner. The pestones, squid pasta, steak and plantain pasta were all so good. Service and staff were kind and friendly. We will definitely be back. By far our favorite restaurant in St. Petes. Thanks again Mike and friends!!!
