We went with another couple ahead of a visit to the Charlotte Symphony. The food was very good. The sweet potato fritters were a phenomenal appetizer and everyone's entree was good. The greens were amazing and really made the fried chicken entree. Service was great. Our waiter, Terrell, was attentive and very helpful with making sure we weren't rushed but... More

The Kings Kitchen is absolutely my favorite place to eat when in Charlotte. The food and service is excellent. The pot roast and fried chicken is the best! I usually don't like creamed corn, however, there's is great. They also have a good selection of wine and alcoholic beverages. This is also a non profit restaurant that helps people get... More

A culinary teacher recommended this place and it was great. It is a non profit that uses profit to provide food to the poor and helps teach needy folks life skills. The food was fantastic. I had pot roast with mac and cheese and roasted vegetables. All were cooked to perfection. A great opportunity to get great southern food and... More

The idea of a not for profit restaurant is amazing. The food was fantastic, fried chicken, chicken panini and the kings burger were all great. The steak sandwich was a little grisly but overall a good meal. Love the concept.

I've eaten here twice in the last week, once in a large group, once with just my wife. The farm to table vegetables were cooked great and the salmon was the best I have had in a very long time. The drink selection was good and the banana pudding was some of the best I have ever had. On top... More

From what I understand this is a non-profit restaurant that provides employment opportunities to help people. I liked their concept and business model and the food is good. The service was amazing, much better than many typical places. Highly recommend.

Good thing we will be walking about town some. Burn up this yummy, big lunch. The menu looked so tempting. As a meatloaf snob, happy to report it was tasty and worthy with the barbecue sauce on it. #takeitupanotch Sides of sweet potato mash, peas and flavorful collard greens with surprise cornbread muffin. Spouse enjoyed the tomato bisque and pimento... More
