My wife and I went to Three Amigos for the first time last Saturday due to the good reviews and its close proximity to Ovens Auditorium. The queso-guacamole appetizer dip was delicious as well as our dinners. My wife's enchiladas were the most tender we have ever tasted. Delicious dinner. I definitely recommend dining early unless you have time to... More

Don't let the lack of ambiance ruin your visit as the food is fresh and delicious....that's what you want, right? Tacos al pastor were spot on w/rice & beans sides. The highlight was their house margarita....served in a pint glass, no less...best I ever had...no sweet, bottled mix just over the top fresh lime juice, triple sec & plenty of tequila. Prmpot,... After reading a subjective list of the 10 best Mexican joints in North Carolina, I’ve made it a minor mission to taste each one when I’m near enough to do so. Looking at the storefront in a non-descript shopping center east of downtown Charlotte will fool you. The fare is far from plain and ordinary to my pleasant surprise. The... More

They weren't kidding, ask for a box, the nachos are HUGE!!! I have to give this place kudos. They accidentally burned my first platter of nachos (did not serve it to me, but notified me promptly), and also took that portion of our order off the bill. And then I was so full from just the chips and salsa, that... More

Decided to try a new place for lunch since we were in the area, and I'm glad we did. Located in a small, strip mall, the outside is nothing exciting. However, once you enter, you get the feeling it's going to be a good place to eat. We were immediately seated and chips and sals were brought to the table... More

Both were served with refried beans, rice, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes,& avocados! We each could only eat two fajitas (we were super hungry before hand too!)... More

I visited Three Amigos in my quest to find a taco spot worth visiting more than once in Charlotte. Unfortunately Three Amigos did not yield a solution. While my chicken, steak and al pastor (pork) tacos all tasted "good," the rice and beans were bland with hardly any flavor. The repercussions were swift--I felt stomach pains within a few hours... This place is tiny with only a couple of outdoor tables. It has no atmosphere but a lively crowd. its loud but the food is fantastic and the margaritas are the best in town. order a premium one and its made with juices and you can choose your tequila as well. And the best part is that you can actually... More

We stopped here for dinner after shopping and it is great. I had the mixed Fajitas with generous portions of steak, chicken, and shrimp. Washed down with Dos XX Amber, it was a great choice. My wife had a salad and enchiladas and everything was fresh and delicious. Quality food at a reasonable price with great service. Hard to beat... More
