Since I have relatives in New Orleans, I am a bit familiar with cajun food. I can't eat much spicy so I am very carful. The fried shrump was wonderful. The cucumber salad was wonderful. The fries were homemade and very good. Both my companions love their choices. E had jambalaya and E1 had bbq shrimp. Our service was really... More

I went to this restaurant only one time, and I won't be back. My order was a staple of Cajun cuisine - jambalaya - and therefore a good indicator, in my mind, of the restaurant's commitment to the quality and authenticity of all their food. My dish was soupy and tasteless, prompting me to add hot sauce to jazz it... More

Used TA to locate a good spot to have lunch. Got seated fast but waited about 30 minutes to receive my food. The food was worth the wait. Seafood jambalaya with Delicious Mac and cheese. Everything had lots of flavor. The jambalaya has rich flavor so I wouldn't recommend getting it with the Mac and cheese bc it's salty. I... More

Our friends rave about this place. While I like the vibe, every time we have been there, the food has not been good. The fried chicken is over-fried. The fries soggy and the rice over-cooked.

I absolutely ❤LOVE❤ Cajun Yard Dog! My first time going was a few years ago when I use to live in Charlotte. My boss took me and we liked it so much, we went back with our entire team. So since I was recently in town for CIAA, I met with a former employee there. The food was great -... More

Not sure what it is about Charlotte and having great restaurants in strip malls, but this is another one. Whenever I go on vacation my whole mission is to find good food that I don't have at home. Do we have Cajun food in SE Michigan? No. So I am going to convince my family to go here. We had... More

We've lived near this place for years and have never tried it - shame on us!!! Ate here on a Monday evening - the place was still very busy, but we were early enough to get a table. Appetizers started with fried mushrooms and oysters. Both were not what I expected - mushrooms were large and tempura battered, but fried... More

They have the best crab cakes I ever tasted. We had the seafood jambalaya and the shrimp po' boy. The only reason I give 4/5 stars is because the shrimp po' boy was bland. The pricing is perfect for the portions. Service was good. Will go back again for the crab cakes!!!

Visited Charlotte last weekend and searched the web for Cajun restaurants. This little jewel popped up in my search and had great reviews, so I gave it a try! Excellent choice! Ordered the crawfish etoufee and a side of pickled beets. Perfect portion size and very tasty. I was also pleasantly surprised by their menu prices. This spot is very... More

Had a broiled whitefish special and enjoyed it immensely. Followed up with a house dessert which was also great but glad we split it, it was large.
