This family restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere. Simple furnishings .. you come for the food! The appetizer sampler has a little of everything. There are also dishes more familiar such as enchiladas and tacos. Wine and beer are available as well as in house made desserts. Take out is available.

If you are looking for good Mexican food in the Davidson area, I'd suggest Mestizo and not El Paraiso. El Paraiso is Mexican food in the "American Style"--big baskets of greasy chips on the table with salsa, large portions which mostly include fried beans and rice, and cheap prices. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean, but this... More

While visiting family in North Carolina, I went to El Paraiso with a large group. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and served an endless supply of delicious food. Will definitely eat there again next time I'm in North Carolina!

The enchilada sauce was too sweet. None of us liked it. The chips were stale tasting. Service was good and salsa was ok. Skip it!

Very good. Have driven by 100 times. Glad I stopped this time. Cute on inside. More food than I can eat for $7. Want to come back when I can try sangria.

I ate here for lunch shortly after they opened, The hostess/waitress was attentive and friendly. I was hoping to sample some of their Salvadorian/South American food such as the pupusas but this was not offered on the lunch menu. I only noticed Mexican fare being available. I ordered a ground beef chimichanga and it was served with rice, beans, and... More

We were surprised by the quality of the flavors and presentation here, & really enjoyed some Latin American food we haven't been able to find yet in the area. The staff was very friendly, including the owner who came out to talk to us. Good vegetarian options & drink selection. We will definitely be back!!!

My husband is Salvadorian so we are always on the lookout for fresh authentic fare. We were on a day trip to Davidson and drove down Main Street and happened upon this restaurant in a strip mall right outside of town in neighboring Cornelius. It was truly a treat! The decor is nice and clean and the owners are genuine!... More

We've visited this family owned and operated restaurant twice and have thoroughly enjoyed it on both occasions. The Elsalvadoran dishes are not to be missed, particularly the appetizer sampler and the pupusas. Don't let the setting, a small strip shopping center, deter you. Once you step through the door the welcoming and efficient staff is quick to help ease any... More

We go to this restaurant once a week. It's family owned and the staff is very friendly. The food is excellent! I tried the Salvadorian sampler (forget the menu name) last week-yummy. Their tacos and pico are the best too. Their burritos are excellent too. Really, I haven't had a bad meal here. Best Mexican restaurant in the area.
