I liked everything about this place. The decor, the atmosphere, the food and great service from waiter Brian. We shared an order of platanos as a starter, and we had the Cuban sandwich, Ropa Vieja and picadillo as mains. All exquisitely spiced. I particularly enjoyed their tomatillo green salsa. Great selection of latin food. Recommended.

The food is outstanding, with a creative flair and beautiful presentation. Everything is fresh. Service was great too, with a friendly staff. The walls are covered with art that changes from time to time.

It had been several years since we had dined at the Blue Corn Cafe, so we decided to get in the mood for The Mavericks' show and have a bite. In the past, we have gone for lunch and found the menu fine. Tonight it seemed a bit limited and a bit too fancy--at the same time. We started with... More

I eat at this restaurant 1X a week as my business networking group meets there; however, I've visited there a couple of times independently as well. We have a set menu at our meetings and I usually get the Tomato and Avocado Salad w/ Cilantro dress. All the ingredients are fresh and delicious and never disappointments. The other day I... More

Excellent place to have lunch or dinner. I recently stopped by to kill some time waiting for my husband and had a wonderful experience as well as dinner to take home! I must say they make a great martini to order! I had some tasty guacamole to go along with it. I ordered fish taco's to take home as well... More

My daughter and I went here, after visiting her mother in the Bone Marrow Transplant Ward at Duke hospital (hence the abnormal attention being paid to sanitation ratings- we can not visit her if we get sick), for dinner. It is not a fancy place and only has street parking but, especially after 6pm, that isn't much of a problem.... More

Delicious food. Celiac friendly (including a separate gluten-free fryer and a knowledgeable waitress). Good family option within reach of the Duke campus.

I was with a large group and everybody raved about the food. The special of the evening was a mild fish with a peach and tomato sauce. The sauce was excellent! I had quesadillas and they were really good and came with rice and beans so a big plate of food for a very reasonable price. Look forward to returning!

What is better than free parking in the evening, great service, tasty food and inviting decor? Blue Corn Cafe is a place where you have many menu options, including a vegetarian menu, it is quiet enough to talk to your friends, and the location on Ninth Street is convenient wherever you are coming from in the Triangle. Our teenagers loved... More
