I went and took 3 teens and a 9 year old. We and several other families waited over a hour to be seated. Bar was busy but lots of empty tables on opposite side. No one ever helped us so we all left. They lost a lot of customers that night

El Zarape is always consistent with their food. Staff is always very friendly. Not the greatest Mexican food in the world but definitely good for a quick bite at the beach that is always satisfying. Prices are very affordable and even when they are packed they get people seated and food out quickly. Margaritas are great!

This is one of the best Mexican places I have eaten!!! The portions are enormous and the price is great. I feel as though the food was delivered straight from Mexico!! I have a very hungry crew and we actually had leftovers (which were just as good reheated)!!

My wife and I came in for dinner on a Wed night. Chips, Salsa, Cheese dip, and tall beers to start. I had the XXL California Carne Asada burrito. When they say XXL they aren't kidding. This thing was huge and delicious. My wife had the Texaco no that she thoroughly enjoyed. Our waiter Luis was pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable.... More

This was our dinner choice after a long drive. What a good decision! The menu gives you so many choices we were surprised. The salsa is addicting! Big,tasty plates for dinner you won't be disappointed!

Always a must to eat at El Zarpe when on the island. Food is very good, love the salsa. We ate at the Atlantic beach one also, my husband prefers the Emerald Isle one.

We visited here the week after Labor day 2016. We were there at 5:00 on a week day and we're the only customers there. The chips and salsa were very good. We ordered the cheese dip and guacamole appetizers which were both very good also. We all ordered something different and everyone liked their meals. We were however very disappointed... More

Was happy for a little food diversity when this and the Chinese carry-out opened. It is still an old standby. The last time I went the waitress was snarky, but previously the service has always been fine, so maybe this was not representative of a change.

It has been a while since we've eaten here. We have tried a few times and it is okay. But we also had a fantastic Mexican restaurant near home that no one could beat. It does get busy, so it is popular. It always smells good as you walk by. The flavors and textures just don't entice me as much.

Thank Christine P
