Motzorella cheese tastes fresh. Pizzas taste homemade. Wings not so great. Big size but soggy. Would prefer crispier. We got the Buffalo chicken pizza mmmm & a pepperoni.

I love pizza... It's been my favorite food since childhood. I pay particular attention to minor details. The crust, the cheese, the sauce, etc. My wife and I went to Gastonia to do some shopping and we decided on this place based on the reviews. We have found the ONLY place in Gastonia we will be eating at from now... More

I'm from PA and am always on the hunt for good pizza, subs, cheesesteaks. It's rare to find anything better than what I call "roller skating rink pizza." Sal's was a great find. The owner and workers are super nice. The food is great and well priced. Their pizza is loaded with cheese and their marinara sauce is out of... More

I have been a customer of Sal's for over 7 years. I too was sad when Sal retired in January 2016. The owner that took over at that time started modifying recipes and was skimpy on the toppings. So I stopped going as often but you can only eat so much Papa Johns. In November we went and I met... More

Sal's has again changed ownership and unfortunately this change comes with a change in recipes. Small changes and make big differences in taste. I have always been and remain a loyal customer here. This weekend we got our normal order for our group. A half Sal's and half house pizza and a lasagna. The garlic was either left off the... More

I think Sal's is the closest I've tasted to NY stle pizza here in Gastonia. Very nice crust, not too thick or thin and the sauce is tasty.

Wonderful authentic New York Style pizza served with a smile and some dazzling conversation. This is not a franchise...homestyle all the way!!! The garlic knots are awesome. Love that the owner is a Christian and will pray for you if he can see you need prayer.

This is the best pizza in the area. It's small so it's pretty much carry out only but there are a couple places to sit inside. I've had pizza from all over and this is by far one of the best if not the best. Once you've had Sal's you won't be able to enjoy chain store pizza again.

I was looking for a more authentic style pizza place rather than all these chain pizza places. The pizza's we ordered were very good. The crust was thin and had a nice flavor. Will definitely be back.

Coming from the North it was hard to find good pizza! We love this place! Food is always good and it is real NY style pizza! We have tried the pasta and other items and we have enjoyed everything! Easy location and close to home.

Thank Tammy P
