The birthday girl decided today she wanted to go to Market Street (which we all agreed to.) For lunch. I have always liked this place and i think they have the best salad bar in Gastonia. I was disappointed that they dont seem to have country style steak anymore but maybe i just keep missing it. Anyway the food was... More

I had the buffet this past Sunday. Fried chicken was delicious, beans were a little bland, potato salad was decent. A lot to choose from. Price was $13.00. I personally didn't get my money's worth. I'd go back on a week day. Probably less expensive.

If I can, I visit this place (2525 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052) every time I go see relatives in North Carolina. I grew up there and I really miss the "southern-style down-home" cooking of that area that I don't normally get in Florida. They have salads available (including good potato salad), but their fried chicken/wings are to die... More

Went here for an afternoon lunch. The food was spectacular. Normally at buffets the food is sub par. Not here. Absolutely loved everything. Their meatloaf and banana pudding are a must!

I'm not one for buffets, but Market Street is great. I like coming here better than I do Golden Corral. It can get really busy, particularly on Sunday's, so plan ahead and have some patience. The best time to come is during the week, as both the crowds and prices are lower.

The food was good but needed a little seasoning considering it was a southern restaurant. I personal thought the deserts could've been better but the staff was friendly😊

My parents brought my husband and I here for a quick bite before we boarded our plane at Charlotte Airport to return home. What a treat. This is what Golden Corral probably tried to accomplish when it opened but the "franchise" couldn't maintain this home cooked goodness. A lot of variety of meats, fried and baked. I do recommend the... More

If you want down home cooking like your grandmother, go to Market Street buffet. The sweet tea, desserts, and buffet were all tasty. The wait staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice and quiet.

For years the Sons of Confederate Veterans a non racist group that strives to preserve Southern Heritage and Honor our Confederate ancestors has held it's meetings at the Market Street Buffet. I can honestly say that the food and service was always good. But due to the recent attacks of the Confederate Flag. The owner of this establishment told us... More

I have been to SVC meetings at your establishment and have enjoyed the good food, service and fellowship but now that we have been told not to come back because of the confederate flag situation as you call it calms down. You people tickle me you care nothing about the southernerns that put that jingle of money in your pocket... More
