Place doesn't look great but not bad. Ordered a chicken quesadilla which I didn't think could be messed up. I was wrong, the cheese wasn't fully melted, the other order had items in it that wasn't listed on the menu (burrito). Our waitress never came to check on us, was sitting with what looked like her family. We were the... More

Very down to earth. Diner type food serving solid Mexican food. Americanized to some degree but not overly so like most Mexican eateries this part of the earth. Not quite dirty not quite clean but the food is very tasty.

This one of my favorite places to eat near the Green River. The food is tasty and the prices are very kind!

This place was worth a shot since it was "attached" to the Best Western and we didn't have to drive anywhere. The first night we just sat at the bar and had beer and a few tequila shots. Marcos was very helpful. The next night we ordered for takeout. Everything was delicious. People are nice and very accommodating.

These Gringos loved it! Authentic, fresh food, homemade tortillas. Great selection of Mexican beer, good, friendly service. Very close to hotels after travelling, though mostly locals. We'll be back!

After a morning spent hiking in Chimney Rock State Park, we were hungry for some Mexican food..we're heading out to Hendersonville and checked TripAdvisor. We prefer to do local rather than chain restaurants when we are traveling since we can always do a chain at home....raise is a small, family run restaurant...we came in around 2 pm..one of the owner's... As other reviewers have emphasized, this restaurant serves authentic Mexican food with a few Tex-Mex choices for the less adventurous. The salsa bar it's self is worth the trip. This staff are always very friendly and accommodating. The prices are quite reasonable particularly given the high quality of the food. Highly recommended!

I really enjoy the food here and especially the tacos and have visited many times. However during my most recent visit I experienced sticker shock at check out; the price for a single Dos Equis Amber bottle is now crazy high! I may stop for carry out in the future but I am no longer staying to eat. I am... More

This is the sister restaurant to El Paso. The El Paso is located in the Best Western and this place is across the street. El Paso is the American version of Mexican food. Taqueria is authentic Mexican food, no ground beef here. The food was good and full of flavor.

First of all, I need to make clear that there are two restaurants here that are constantly being confused in reviews. There is a very good, full service, margarita serving El Paso restaurant in the Best Western motel that is NOT the restaurant that i am reviewing. I am waxing poetic about the the Taqueria Mexicana El Paso Azteca Express... More
