Place is a little hard to get to with the road construction but so worth it. My boy said the kofte were amazing.

This place has great Greek food. My firm and I eat here frequently and when we have to provide lunch for out of town guests we always order from here. Although construction is blocking their main entrance off Main Street you can still get to Sumela's through the back entrance to their parking lot off of Elm Street.

Discover a taste of the Mediterranean! Sumela is a family-owned business in the heart of North Main Street. The owner, Matt, has made the restaurant a vision of his home country of Turkey. The food is healthy and delicious with a variety of items to please all from appetizers, salads, and sandwiches to kebabs and pasta. You won't want to... More

It has a basic menu but offers good options and at a good pricepoint. The food quality was also good.

Was in town for a convention and ventured out looking for food. Stumbled across this place, the area looked deserted but it was open. OMG the food was amazing! My friend and I both have dietary restrictions and we both had more food than we could eat. Options were plentiful and the staff helpful for offering suggestions. Best meal of... More

We had table service, not counter service, and reusable glasses, not styrofoam. It is nice that they are responsive to their customers. I had lamb kebab which was delicious. I ordered a bowl of red lentil soup which I did not like. For one thing, it was pure liquid--no whole lentils to be found. The pita bread was great. I... More

Not only the best Mediterranean and Turkish cuisine you can find in the Triad but very reasonably priced. The owner is a great guy and the staff is always friendly and efficient.

I'm not a connoisseur of Turkish cuisine, but everything that I've had at Sumela is delicious. I love the flavors of the Kofta burger and the Durum Adana. My friends rave about the Healthy Wrap and the Gyro. The Baklava and Tiramisu were just as wonderful.

Hubs and I were looking for a restaurant on a Friday evening without a wait. After riding by Sumela for years, we decided to give it a try. I am so happy we stopped. The food and service was great. The falafel is the best around. As well as the dolmades, they were great! We ordered the Sumela sampler to... More

Basic décor, counter service, but all the food is top notch. And very reasonable prices. We got the fish of the day (wonderful grilled trout) served with a perfect rice and bean salad. A side of gyro meat for $3.95 was enough for two, and the Greek salad was delicious. The staff was very friendly as well.
