Absolutely nothing new or up scale. Even the ice comes from a cooler. Excellent food, excellent charm and best service. They serve the best of the basics. Come in your overalls and enjoy the old world charm by the river.

A very unique place, the southern version of a Nova Scotian lobster shack and a local favorite. Been a regular here for years. Good seafood though they specialize in fried herring and fried herring roe. Fried roe is a delicacy not easily found. Open mid...More

Have stopped here many times over the years. I only eat the herring but they do serve other seafood. The herring is fried so crispy that you can eat almost all of the bones. Might be an acquired taste, but I love it. Caveat -...More

Food was southern fried and delicious! I had the Trout and clam strips. Yum! Homemade pies for dessert, what a treat. A must to stop here if you are in the area!!

This place is a great example of where the term "fish camp" came from. Building is slanted and seems like little has changed over the years except the patrons. Food was a little dissapointing. Tasted good at first but everyone in our party paid for...More

We loved the herring, perch and flounder. Great fish. Great service. Hush puppies were too bland, but the pies were to die for! Incredible setting. Nice folks. A real NC gem.
