Freeborne's has some of the best fried pickles I have ever had! Can't go wrong with their burgers or bbq sandwich either. Have always been happy with our food there!

This was my second stay at the motel and dinner at the restaurant. Also the second time I've ordered the chicken wings. The menu is expanded and everything looks good.

We were on our way home and happened upon this restaurant at lunch time. If you aren't a Harley rider, don't be intimidated. The service is quick and the sandwiches are delicious!

First night we went we had the Ribeye Steaks for dinner. For some reason they put Worcestershire sauce on top of both steaks (?) we do not like sauce on our steaks and the menu said NOTHING about it having sauce on the steak, nor did it in the past. One steak was purple not medium rare as asked for.... More

The food and service is excellent, at this hidden mountain location. Just a second off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Locally owned and operated with first rate staff. A must do for couples, not exactly for families as it caters more to the biker crowd and beer lovers.

It is always crowed on the weekends with live music and cold beer. The burgers are very good and I saw 1 guy with a club sandwich that was enough for 2 people. The service was quick and efficient. If you want to be there when the band is playing you have to be there between 2 and 5.

Been here at least 30 times over the past 5 years. Service is always wonderful and you will be shocked that the food is as good as it is for a biker bar! The best thing is the fried pickles. Sausage dip is also a winner on the appetizer menu. For dinner, there's always a seafood night - i can't... More

We were looking for somewhere to eat in this area of the NC mountains and saw other reviews which looked good! Despite the "biker bar" look from these photos, this is a nice, clean restaurant with really friendly folks (customers and wait-staff). All of the food that we ordered was excellent! We were there when they opened at 11 AM,... More

We had another dinner here - because the first one was GREAT! The Rib Eye Special was the entree and it was perfect! The best part was the staff - Jasper and Amber are great - to illustrate: last year we had a phenomenal dessert - coconut creme pie - they did not have it yesterday, but offered to have... More

We were traveling the BRP middle of Oct. and one of the locals told us about Freebornes! Said great food and he imagined the rooms were just as clean and nice as the restaurant. He was totally right. The food was wonderful and the room was clean and comfortable. They went out of their way to make sure we had... More
