Didn't know what to expect but found new food items. Service is good and so is the food. Entertainment on certain nights.

I lived in Miami for 15 years, and married into a Cuban family. I know Cuban food as well as any gringo, and let me tell you, this is the stuff. It tastes just like my Mother-in-Law used to make.

Carmen's is a very quaint place. Simply decorated but comfortable and pleasing to the eye. The menu has a very large selection of authentic Cuban dishes. It was very hard to pick a dish. I went with the masitas de puerco, a marinated pork dish and paired it with yellow rice and black beans. It was delicious and I got... More

They offer a bunch of lunch specials. I tried the breaded steak with rice, beans and yuka. Food was excellent, good size portion, and service was great.

People in this place are very nice and service was good, but we did not find food delicious. Food was simple and quality was average. What they called steak is relatively far away from typical American steak. Seafood dish was expensive, but it was nothing special.

I ate there two nights ago for a late dinner; even though I was alone they didn't try to stick me at the bar but seated me in their dining room which was very nice of them. The service was attentive and super friendly; I had roast pork, yellow rice and sweet plantains, all of which were very good. Even... More

It had been a long time since I've enjoyed a meal here which prompted us to stop by this classic Cuban spot. We were the only patrons in the restaurant aside from another gentleman that also inquired with the wait staff as to why the restaurant was empty. Anyways, the food we had was absolutely delicious. I had the ropa... More

Had the ceviche appetizer & it was mediocre at best. Dinner was marisco's a la carmens & it was disappointing. Bland and overpriced. The servers were friendly & gave good service.

Didn't get a chance to eat but did stop in for coffee. Excellent, excellent Cuban coffee. Some of the best I have had in the US. Their attention to detail and flavor is superb. Nothing tasted burnt, it wasn't boiling lava hot, and it had the traditional feel to it. Worth the trip just for the coffee!

The time before this, it seemed to have gone downhill and the food was tired. This visit was very different -- excellent meal with very good service. Looking forward to coming again.
