The Cow Cafe was originally located adjacent to the Maola dairy. It moved to downtown New Bern over a decade ago. It has a toy train that runs around the cafe's ceiling's perimeter and the gift collection of cow items always makes me laugh. Ice creams made on site are named with humorous cow related names. They are delicious. The... More

We recently mooved to the area and my daughter and I were looking for a place to eat lunch while exploring the downtown. She's a vegetarian and tried the cheese cowsadilla. She said it was good and cheesy. It came with salsa on the side for dipping. Sour cream was extra though. She said her sweet ice tea was good.... More

My granddaughter and I were visiting Tryon Palace and took a break to have lunch. We were excited to learn that the Cow Cafe was a 6 minute walk from the Palace grounds, and since we are trying to visit as many NC ice cream parlors that make their own ice cream as we can, we knew where we wanted... We only had ice cream but they do serve food. Very kid friendly with a play room. Had we made it there earlier on vacation we would have lunch there.

Good sandwiches on yummy bread. One of few places open on Sunday so busy. No one is in a rush, but it's a cute concept and popular.

They do some great flavours but the service was slow. We were lucky as the shop was empty, it filled up behind us whilst we were waiting, I suspect the wait just got longer

Awesome little ice cream parlor. They serve sandwiches from the grill. It is a little pricey, but a neat place to eat,

The food is average to above average and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is great and there is usually a good crowd on hand. It is a wonderful place to take children - my grandchildren love going there. In addition to a good sandwich menu, the ice cream choices are plentiful.

Granddaughter had her favorite treat, large cookie with hot fudge and ice cream.. I had a great hot dog with cole slaw... The train runs the circumference of the cafe above our heads. Nice place for popcorn, too
