It is a great place to eat. the prices are good. The decor is nice. And you can't beat the freshness. Well worth the stop.

Primarily a seafood market with a small attached dining area. Some of the best fried shrimp I've had in Southport. Ambiance not much, but food is very good.

I read the reviews for this fish store and decided to stop there and purchse shrimp. I stopped at the Long Beach Road location at 436PM and the sign read CLOSED and instructions to visit the Oak Island Drive location. I headed over there and the place look empty with an abandoned Subaru parked out front and the inside dark... More

Every year on our trip to Oak Island we make sure to stop into this fish store as they are exceptional. Our favorite is their Crab Cakes! 100% CRAB! No filler! Just a breading on the outside! They have ruined anyone else's crab cakes for me. I will only eat theirs. I also bring home at least 10 to give... More

I stopped here today on East Beach due to close proximity. This isn't a seafood market. They have the least selection ever. I did get some shrimp and was told the crab legs are pre cooked??? What? The pictures on their website must be from the long Beach road location. You have a better seafoid selection at the grocery store.

Skip this place if you want fresh seafood. The shellfish was not fresh at all and had to be thrown away. Customer service wasn't good, either. The lady there wasn't friendly, either. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the more visited fish markets like Haag & Sons or Clems.

Stopped by Pelican Seafood Market last evening and purchased a pound of local shrimp. They steamed it right there at the market. It was steamed to perfection, the best steamed shrimp I have had in a long time. The young salesperson was very courteous and professional. Next time I'm on the Island I will make it a point to revisit... More

I thought this would be good for fresh seafood. Well I was wrong. Kids running the place and knew nothing. Had poor selection of different items. I suggest going a few yards down the road to Hans.

Visited Pelican by chance while looking for fresh fish/shrimp. The lady behind the counter was great. She knows her business and was easy to talk to. The prices were competitive and the fish quality was better than we'd seen elsewhere so we ceased our shopping and bought from her. She's likely to become our "go-to" stop for fresh seafood on... Pelican Seafood sells fresh LOCAL seafood as well as delicious lunches and dinners to eat in or take out. The owners work there and are very pleasant to chat with. I was so pleased to find their menu was a mix of Mediterranean and southern foods with homemade desserts like mamool. We purchased fresh fish and shellfish to cook ourselves and ate lunch there. I would love to write a review. Thank you. Traci Stevenson. tracisbold@gmail.com
