This is a nice restaurant chain, but unless you take advantage of the 3 course menu, it gets expensive quickly. Went to dinner Sunday night and the place was pretty empty. Food took a while to get served and had to flag the waiter for a refill of my drink. Oysters were great. Would come again...but really nothing special about... More

Absolutely wonderful a service. Very accommodating. Food was awesome. Best seafood in Raleigh. The stuffed shrimp is wonderful and the beed medallions with bordelaise is superb.

My husband & I came here for our wedding anniversary. We've been here a couple of times beforehand and loved the place. Since it was our 27th wedding anniversary, I wanted to go somewhere special. The food was great but the service needs work. I don't know if our waiter is new to this, but I expect better customer service... More

Early business dinner outside on patio with live music. Perfect weather. Ordered mushroom caps and tuna bites with drinks. First drink was returned due to poor communication. Server seemed new and inexperienced. Person that brought food dropped plates and took off. Not asking for refills or anything else. Disappointed in service. We order salmon and Mahi entrees with spinach. All... More

This was a Family visit to Raleigh. We decided to eat at M&S and reserved a table. It wasn't extremely busy. We were seated quickly but service went downhill from there. Long time to get us water. Then another long wait for bread. After order was placed, another long wait to get clarification on ingredients related to allergies. Food was... More

We to M&S for a pre-valentines day dinner. The steak was cooked perfectly as was the potato and asparagus. The restaurant is pricy but I have never had any complaints about the food or service. Nice ambiance.

You can tell a good steak and seafood place if they have a good chowder. This restaurant doesn't. While our server was cordial and friendly he was unobservant. We ordered the shrimp trilogy and the dry aged ribeye both with butternut squash orzo. The steak was ordered medium rare came out rare. The shrimp lacked imagination and was over salted.... More

We arrived in Raleigh late in the afternoon, felt hungry and lost and wandered off looking for somewhere to have dinner. We were lucky to get a table at McCormick & Schmick's because we ended up having a great evening, trying different kinds of oysters (super! ), crabcake, calamari, tuna... we were happily surprised at the good selection of wines... My husband and I have visited this restaurant many times, and they usually have sports on the TVs. We are not there to watch TV, but having sports on is pretty neutral. However, last Friday we were headed into the restaurant and could see through the windows that the TVs were on Fox News. We immediately turned around and left.... More
