My wife and I went with our Thai friends to this restaurant and it was absolutely amazing. This was the first time my wife and I have had Thai food, and it was great. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. You get healthy portions of food and the Singha Beer pairs perfectly with the main courses. It... More

I use to come here a lot, but there was always something a little off about it. They always seemed out of something -- sticky rice, limes, etc. The service was lacking as well.

Thaiphoon consistently has some of the best Thai food in the Triangle. Everything is always fresh, reasonably priced, and typically served quickly. I've dined at Thaiphoon numerous times over the last few years, and the only poor service I received was when I dined with a group of over 10 people. Unfortunately, their kitchen must not be set up to... More

I wish I could give it a better review as there are many positives about this restaurant. The people are very pleasant and very accommodating. The place is different...the décor is pleasant, but it also seems to be partly decorated for Christmas. We weren't sure what to make of it. It's clean and the atmosphere is quite relaxing. Now for... First, let's get the issue of service out of the way. It was prompt enough, both taking the order and receiving the food, but apparently they have no concept of customer service or don't care. No hello at all, although she did check to see if everything was OK. Maybe speaking to her in Thai helped! That said, my food... More

Arrived @ 5:30p, on a Tuesday. Our group of six were the only customers there. We had to wave to the one waitress when we were ready to order. First time attempting Thai food, I ordered the salmon salad (to be safe) which was really tasty and the Thai tea (creamy). The salad had a hidden hot spice, which caused... More

We've been both at lunch and dinner. Great food both times, but a real Bargain at lunch. Their noodle dishes include a good amount of diced vegetables, a nice inclusion. When we were there, the restaurant wasn't busy and the service was prompt.

We're big fans of Thai food and have been disappointed so far after moving from Washington, DC. It was a nice surprise to find this place after having planned for something else nearby but sliding here bc of the wait at the other place. There is plenty of selection for vegetarians. We will be coming back to confirm the tastiness... More

Walked in on a Friday night and not many people eating which did worry me. However the food was really good. Had crab Rangoon first then Chicken pad Thai noodles and my husband had Red Curry Chicken. Everything tasted great and very nice presentation. Only negative would be that the waiter did not speak very good English but did come... More

The three times I have been there for dinner, there may be 25 tables and only four tables are occupied. Regardless, the place which is adorned with statues is spacious, quiet and relaxing. Food is basic, tasty Thai fare.
