Ate here on a Sat night, wanted good fried shrimp and oysters. Prices are good and portion size is great. The oysters were hot, tasty, and good size. The shrimp were tiny. Service was very good, but no beer served. I'll skip this one for the future.

Had a nice dinner tonight at Captain Stanley's Seafood Resturant. Enjoyed eating the fresh flounder fillets and popcorn shrimp. My husband really liked the brunswick stew, as well. Their seafood condiments were also quite good. The basket of hushpuppies were emptied out fairly quickly. They would have provided a refill of the goodies, if we would have requested them. Unfortunately,... More

I took my family here again, and must right another review. My daughter loved the food, as she is fussy and I know I hit a home run at this establishment for her. So we come once a month for lunch and/or dinner. I love the Fried Whiting and the potato salad. Everything is good here, so come on down... More

I went back for a 2nd time and enjoyed it more this visit. I love their Brunswick Stew, it is one of the best I have tried. The Fried Cod and potato was excellent. Just a wonderful place to go for Lunch or Dinner.

Captain Stanley's has been in Garner for decades and it has not changed much since it opened. It leaves you with a feeling you are back going to dinner with your parents as a kid. They have all of the appropriate Seafood restaurant flair, fishing nets, boat models, and taxidermied fish on the walls. The menu is also a bit... More

Captain Stanley's was recommended to us so we decided to go for lunch. My husband had the Scallops, Oysters, green beans and Slaw. I had the Whiting, baked potato and slaw, we both agreed the food was very good. For desert we tried the homemade Coconut Pie which was yummy. Definitely coming back to check out other eats on the... This place has been a favorite for many years, however.... Seafood and delicious coleslaw go together like bread and butter and the coleslaw recipe had changed and it is horrible compared to what use to be. As the story goes, the guy who made the coleslaw retired and the new guy is suppose to be using the same recipe--not so.... More

This is a family favorite! They have been in business for years but have recently expanded the menu to include peel and eat shrimp served either hot or cold. Delicious! You can order a half pound or a whole pound. The also have fresh, hot hush puppies, slaw and baked potatoes. In the winter I enjoy their clam chowder. This... More
