I recently had lunch at J Betski's in Seaboard Station. I hadn't had German food in a while so was looking forward to it. It is a small restaurant with not too many tables so I recommend making reservations. The tables are very close together too. The table we were given was cracked in many areas. I don't think it... If you appreciate good German or Polish food, try this place. Get the chopped salad and one of the appetizers. Wife got a bratwurst and I got a pork+beef smoked kielbasa. Both came with sauerkraut and two types of mustard. Everything was excellent and plenty big. Main entrees are larger portions and can be pricey, but our friends (both big... More

This is a intimate , meaning smallish, restaurant that we frequent often. Most all the various stuffed sausages and sauerkraut are made in house. The service is above average and the prices are reasonable. Great place to go on a chilly winter evening.

Went with another couple, and I highly recommend reservations (which we had). Started at the bar with the attentive and entertaining bartender (we arrived prior to our reservation). We all enjoyed our various appetizers and entrees. Seating can be a bit tight, depending on where your table is. We had a window seat which was was good.

My son mad reservations to eat at J. Betski’s in Raleigh, NC on December 27th. The dining space is relatively small (mirrors give the impression it is larger) and seating is quite tight. The decor was geared to the Christmas season when we visited. There is a bar, outside seating (in nice weather), and a relatively small dining room. We... More

Once again, J. Betski's gets my "Gold Medal" award! The menu features a combination of items you might expect for any fine restaurant. plus a number of delightful chef specialties -- with an emphasis on German and Eastern European dishes. They also feature a selection of great beers -- imports in particular. On recent visit our party was in a... More

Found this great German eatery tucked away in the Seaboard Shopping Center. We decided, what the heck, we were hungry! What a wonderful place! the food was outstanding and a thorough menu! We went with knockwurst the first time and it was outstanding. We have returned several times and have ventured into several regional dishes and some very good specials,... More

Outstanding meal in nice small setting, probably one of the nicest dining experiences we have had in a couple of months. I had the duck with pumpkin pierogi's which were delicious, my husband had the venison and veal meatballs which he alsothoroughly enjoyed. It was a nice touch having chef stop by table and inquire about meal.

Just remember what it is...a German/Polish restaurant, and you won't be disappointed. If you're looking for trendy bistro fare, then this probably isn't the place for you. They have bratwursts, schnitzel, spaetzle, pierogies, good German beer, and a surprisingly robust wine selection. When we visited, they also had a delicious pan-seared flounder with spaetzle and a gruyere-topped baked oyster appetizer... More

Somewhat small than other nearby places but the food is superior, and service excellent. More limited menu I think allows them to focus on quality of each dish.
