We fancied pizza for dinner. We got to Calvino at 1900, shortly after it opened. We walked into a rather clinical area, resembling a dentist! But thankfully no extractions, we asked for a table, quizzically, as it seemed it was only a take away place, but, we were taken to a private room out the back which had three rabies... More

Calvino is too popular in Trapani to get a table without booking, so book the table in advance if you want to visit it. Pizza is thick here, a lot of toppings and a big choice. But my advice is to try baked potato with mozzarella – a really special dish, it doesn’t look great but it’s very tasty. Most... More

We went here for early dinner and it was already packed, still got place in 5 mins without reservation. Order was delivered fast and yes - it's definitely a very good pizza - no less, no more. Each of us took a small pizza for oneself and couldn't finish - portions are generous.

Our experience wasn't great. Pizzas were good but no better & more expensive than Pizzeria Jolanda a few minutes walk away. Service was minimal, plastic cups for drinks, take away boxes virtually thrown at us to transfer remaining pizza ourselves, no warmth about the place [literally - I was so cold I had to keep my coat on] & then... This is a funky place which serves delicious pizza. We had the artichoke and the spicy sausage pizza, and both were excellent, the artichoke one had a bit of sweetness from onions which worked very well, the sausage one had fresh parsley, and both were pre cut into bite sized pieces. Definitely a place to come back to.

Plain decoration, quick service, fun staff, lively atmosphere and above all, excellent pizza with fresh ingredients ! Plenty of toppings to chose from!. We went for the Trapanese and loved it. The medium size is rather plentiful for one person, but we took half to go and ate it for breakfast the next day. Delicious even cold :)

We happened across Calvino because it was located around the block from our hotel and always had a long and I mean long lineup waiting outside. So we looked it up on Tripadvisor and saw all the tremendous reviews and decided to give it a try that night. It was fully booked so made reservations for the following night. Now... More

A very typical Italian pizzeria from the years past: turning out pizzas (5-7 Euro for a small, enough for a big meal for one person) as fast as they can, with high quality and fresh ingredients, and lots of flavor. Tables are crowded, but you can eat standing up or take away. If you want pizza, a great choice.

Very good pizza; quiet large but very tasty. I was told the place was a brothel in the past and in fact it was left in its original state. Tables are situated in different rooms. Quiet nice bcos it's different.
