If you feel like eating something different on your outback travels this is a good spot. The place is homely and friendly.

First time back in Burra since 2014 - great to see that White Cedars is still running. Putu and Francis are lovely hosts and an icon in Burra's restaurant scene not to be missed. We were a fairly large group and everybody ordered something different...so it took a little longer (this is not a fast food restaurant), but everybody was... More

We went to White Cedars for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our hosts surprised us and had set up a romantic table for us in the back garden to enjoy our special night. Our meals were superb and beautifully presented. Nothing was too much trouble. We will be back

Had a group of walkers doing the Heysen Trail and had a booking for 7pm on a Saturday. Unfortunately due to the length of the walk and some injuries to 2 group members we were very late back and had to cancel the booking. Getting back to Burra after 8.30pm we thought we had no hope of getting a meal... More

Eating out on a Saturday night in Burra? Well, you have the two pubs, or... an Indonesian cafe! Inside, you enter the rarefied private world of the owners: a Balinese-Burra-nese fusion. Food was good. Try the corn fritters.

We stopped by for dinner at the recommendation of a local who said "It's a great Indonesian restaurant run by a real Indonesian" and she wasn't wrong. My food allergy - not a worry at all. The food was genuine cuisine, portion sizes were great, tastes, subtle and wonderful. Wish it was near where I lived I would be there... More

My wife and I had been here once before and very much liked it. So I asked some friends to join us for a birthday celebration for my wife last night. I booked a table of 6 but then had to increase it to 9 and advised them only at 5pm. The floor space is not huge and I realised... More

Lunch. I am a coeliac. Gf offerings limited in other eateries so I was thrilled to find such an attractive venue with heaps of naturally gf options. Meal delicious. And we lingered over good coffee. Fresh flowers and no laminex, the bane of the country eatery, in sight.

My husband and I went to White Cedars for an anniversary dinner. It was our first time at this restaurant and we had a great experience. The chicken curry was the best i have ever eaten. The service was excellent and everything well priced. We will definitely be back

This quaint, authentic cafe is a highlight of the trip between Broken Hill and Adelaide. We often plan our trip around breakfast, brunch or lunch here. The service is very friendly and the food is fantastic - a tasty treat in an historic town.
