My two daughters and I ate there the last night of our stay. After several very disappointing meals at other restaurants we were happy to find this one. We had the king crab and the scallops. The crab was meaty and tasty, the scallops had...More

We stopped in on a Saturday. Our wait was only half of what they told us. My husbands food came burnt, but they replaced it. I had fried shrimp and flounder; it was delicious. It's a little loud, but good food.

We ate here twice on our recent visit to the area. The ambiance is minimal: however, the seafood and service are quite good. The crab cakes are some of the best I have ever had. Others said shrimp and scallops were good too.

Spent a week on Emerald Isle, and ate at the Crab Shack twice. The crab legs are delicious and the service is friendly. Buy a souvenir t-shirt and stop to visit with the stray cats!

This was the best place we have been all week. Was suggest by a local. Does not disappoint. Best cocktail and tarter sauce I've ever had. Shrimp, catfish so good. Steamed clams , hush puppies were amazing.

They open daily at 11:00 for lunch. Not sure when they close, but at least 8:00. Had lunch there today. Enjoyed some of the freshest and best shrimp I have ever had.

The Crab Shack Restaurant is a family owned business serving patrons for the past 40 years. Our menu consists of all types of seafood including fish, shrimp, homemade crab cakes and of course... CRABS! We also have the best steaks on the island! Sandwiches include hamburgers, cheeseburgers, shrimp burgers, etc. and our "just like mama's" grilled cheese sandwich. We offer daily lunch specials, including your choice of an entree, 2 veggies and sweet or unsweet tea, available 7 days a week. We pride ourselves on fast, courteous service where you're treated like one of the family. Our kid-friendly atmosphere keeps our annual vacationers coming back year after year. The main dining room overlooks beautiful Bogue Sound. (We don't even charge extra for the view!) Our shrimp boats parked out back, add a beautiful back drop to your dining experience. So if you're looking for fresh seafood, land-lubbers delights and a fun time for you and the family, give us a try... you won't be sorry!
