I ate at this restaurant last night as part of a wedding reception group, The wait service was very good, and handled the party of almost 30 well. That's the best of my experience last evening. The ordered a platter that included perch, shrimp and flounder The fish had a bland taste to it and the shrimp had no taste at all.... More

We had a large family gathering here. It was so disappointing from the time we walked in. Although this older, grand building looks lovely on the outside, it is neglected inside. The carpet is terribly worn, and the meeting space is dimly lit. Even the restroom, which is functional is forgotten. The blown light bulbs and very old fixtures need... More

A friend there in Shelby took me here. This is an old school auditorium that attracts mostly the elderly crowd and their presence tells you the food is good and the place is quiet. There is ample parking, large seating areas. The best decorated nautical themed place I've seen in a while. Meal comes with unlimited hush puppies, friend founder... More

The baby flounder was very boney, the baby shrimp was about average of other fish camps, but the chicken strips where ever good.

Since moving to North Carolina, we have not found any seafood comparable to to what we had in Louisiana UNTIL we ate at Fisherman's Feast in Shelby, NC! My husband got the fried catfish and I got a fried shrimp/oyster combination platter. Both were excellent, as were the hushpuppies served with them. Wait staff were friendly, the restaurant was clean... More

We dine in this restaurant at least once monthly. The seafood is very good and the servings are generous. Upon being seated you are brought endless hushpuppies. Be careful not to eat too many because you need to make room for the entree! This is not a fancy facility. It has muted lighting and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is... More

It is so hard to find great places to get really good fried/calabash shrimp and chicken that is good. I am not into fish but others with me rant about how excellent it is here also. I have never had a bad experience here. We also rented out a banquet space for a family member's birthday and the staff went... More

Fisherman's Feast offers a wide variety of traditional fish camp style seafood offerings prepared tastily, in generous portions, priced very reasonably and served by friendly waitresses. The dining room is roomy and clean and frequented by an older, quiet crowd. Meals are accompanied by slightly sweet hush puppies and entrees are freshly prepared and arrive quickly most nights. Not a... More
