I have been to this restaurant twice now, with last Saturday the latest. I was with a group of 13 seniors. The servers got the tables ready and seated us quickly, took the drink order, and started passing the bowls of delicious country food, 3 meats included ribs, fried breaded chicken, and ham. The hoe-cake has the best flavor and... More

For you food snobs out there, NOTE: This is NOT a gourmet restaurant. This is a place where you can get good comfort food for a good price - PLUS entertainment to boot! It looks like a mountain cabin inside and out. Went on a Saturday so the menu featured: Fried Chicken, BBQ Spare Ribs, Country Ham, Pinto Beans, Taters,... More

I was born and raised in southern Va. I'm definitely a country boy. I was also raised by my grandma. This food tastes like she cooked it. It is so well seasoned. It tastes like it was made at home. A little expensive though. $18 adults and $9 for kids

We went there this past Sunday. Its a great place to take the family for a good home cooked meal without the mess. Not dishes to clean up and someone else does all the work. I like the Daniel Boone Inn a little better but this is a lot closer for us. The staff are very friendly and the food... More

This is a 45 minutes road trip for our family. We have Sunday lunch there periodically. It is always freshly cooked home cooking food. Get there early enough and you might get a slab of homemade chocolate cake. Great food and waitresses are always the best!

The hoecakes are the best ever. My brother couldn't get enough of the potatoes. Very typical home southern cooking.

Went for my 80th Birthday. There were 16 of us and the service was great! Food was very good and there was plenty of it.. There were some other big parties there and it seemed that everyone was being served in a timely manner. Hope to be able to go again.

The Hillbilly Hideaway is a must do experience if you are near by. We have been eating here for over 30 years. Food is served family style and they will keep bringing it until you say stop. Everything is fresh and cooked like Grandma made it. Delicious country fried chicken, vegetables and bread. I guarantee you will leave full &... More
