The Meeting Place Restaurant IS the best place to meet for a quick lunch or fantastic Sunday brunch. Delicious soups, salads, quiche, paninis. Favorites are the poppyseed muffins, tomato basil soup, chicken salad (with grapes and curry), panini tuscany, quiche (any kind), apricot iced tea. Spots to sit outside and enjoy the view of the Pamlico River and the breezes.... More

Delicious brunch and wonderful service. Mini muffins are delicious and so are the waffles and pancakes. Very good brunch menu with lots of unique items.

The Meeting Place occupies an old storefront on Main St. in Washington, NC. It serves lunch on weekdays with daily specials. The menu includes soups, salads, and sandwiches. My wife enjoyed a soup and salad combination, and I had an excellent Reuben. On a second visit, my wife was very pleased with a bowl of clam chowder, a dish this... More

I am not from here and just saw this place while driving near the waterfront. Great location. The food was a solid 4.5 rating. The clam chowder was excellent. The service was very lack luster. Inside was cool, old wood floors, great ceilings. I had the Steak Sandwich. Portion was very small but good. Don't get the potato salad.

We ordered the tuna salad plate and the chicken salad plate. The tuna salad was made from canned albacore, not fresh tuna. The chicken salad was very bland as was the tuna salad. Both plates came with cubed fruit which was hard and had little taste.....not what we were expecting while visiting in our hometown. The waitress continued to serve... More

We had not been to this restaurant for several years but were hosted there by someone. from out of town. All of us had salads, two different ones. All were happy. They are known for their poppy seed muffins which were still very good. The blue cheese salad dressing was very good, not just mayo with a few crumbles. It... More

I've eaten here twice and have been impressed both times. I like the small town charm of the place, friendly staff and excellent lunch food. From the little lemon poppyseed muffins to the main lunch entrees the food is fantastic. I ordered a Reuben and it was made to perfection. Sometimes restaurants make it too greasy and sloppy. This sandwich... More

A great place to grab a sandwich, salad or soup. Also, features a daily quiche which is always delicious. Fresh, healthy menu. Only open for lunch (brunch on Sundays).

The Meeting Place has sandwiches and salads that are very delicious. I especially love the veggie Panini. I always get the apricot tea. It has such a refreshing taste. The wait staff is very friendly and Anne Martin, owner of Meeting Place, makes you feel very welcome.
