This is the first time I ever tried a fondue restaurant. Gives you ample time to talk with people at your table. It's a good concept. Food was average at best. It is fun, but overpriced for what it is.

The management and service is great which speaks volumes alone. However, here is my ranking of their food from best to worst. Salads (yes, it was the best thing we ate), Dessert (nothing special but still tasty...don't bother getting the cheesecake though, not worth it), Fondue (again, nothing special, easily replicated at home), Entrée (quality ingredients, however, portions are significantly... Very nice and romantic for any special occasion. Would come back again because the environment is very nice. Right behind the restaurant is the lake and boardwalk. Me and the hubby had a nice scroll.

Before arriving in Wilmington, I called the restaurant to ask about vegan options. The staff was very helpful and even asked the chef questions for me. I was also able to make reservations over the phone for 10 people. When we arrived, we were seated immediately and the our server, Carrie, approached within seconds to take our drink orders. We... Wanted to find a place to have dessert after dinner and this was perfect! So many different options for things to dip and what to dip them in. Even though we didn't get dinner or drinks the menus for both looked amazing. This is definitely a place to treat yourself. The staff was laid back, extremely polite and great with... More

My husband, daughter (9), mother in law, and I were visiting Wilmington for 28 hours. We walked by this restaurant and thought it would be fun for our daughter. It turned out to be one of our top 5 meals ever. We started with the fontina and Switzerland cheese. Two people preferred each-each was delicious! We scraped every drop of... More

My son and I ate dinner (and desert) and were blown away at every aspect of the restaurant. The service was extraordinary - Spencer took care of us. The food, appetizers (which are part of the meal) were all fresh and beautifully prepared and displayed. Our server assisted us in picking just the perfect sauces for our proteins. We left... More

From salad all the way to dessert, everything was great. Nice quality of food, presentation and service. If you have not been to fondue before, don't go if you are in a hurry. We average between 1.5-2 hours of time at the table. There were no delays, that's just how long it takes.

My husband and I went to The Little Dipper for the first time last weekend for a "date night". Our waiter, Wendell, did an excellent job explaining how everything works and made some great recommendations! The Cheddar Ale cheese fondue was superb! My husband and I both enjoyed it. Salads and dinner were good - we've had better, but solid... More

- Read about this place on Trip Advisor and wanted to try it since I had been to the Melting Pot once in Buffalo. - MAKE RESERVATIONS EARLY!. Called on Monday for a reservation on Wednesday and the only time they had available was 9 pm! It worked out ok though since we didn't feel rushed to get ready early... More
