For years I have been going to a vacuum repair shop next to San Juan Cafe, but had never dined there. Then hubby strolled down to the cafe while he was waiting for me to pick up our vacuum and was intrigued by the menu. The next day, he suggested we go for lunch. It's a very pleasant space with... What a great lunch. Decided to treat a friend to lunch at a new to her place; she enjoyed it. Started with fresh chips and salsa. Then we ordered our lunch, my friend ordered the burger - the waiter said it was the best burger in town - my friend agrees. I ordered the chicken tacos with lime creama on... More

I've been eating here for years. Excellent food, excellent service and I support San Juan and their employees as they participate in the "day without Latinos/Hispanic" strike. You are valuable members of our community, we are better for having you.

They get high marks from me for having a LOT of gluten free options, which is awesome. However, I didn't love my food, which is why the rating is just OK. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't super flavorful. I didn't think they were overpriced though,. I had a good size sandwich with fries for less than $10...

The food was very good. They are so many interesting items on the menu. The ambiance is cute. On the other hand, the cocktails and wines are extremely expensive ranging from $9 to $13 which would be the price of a meal in many other places. I would not advise to go there to have a drink.

We decided to try San Juan Cafe after driving past so many times. Our dinner was on an early weeknight, so the place was mostly empty. There was a crowd up around the bar, who seemed like regulars. Our waiter was attentive and described several of the menu items for us. We ordered two different types of sangria. Our drinks... More

I really enjoy the San Juan Cafe, both for the food and atmosphere. It does remind me more of places I have eaten at in the Caribbean than most other places in town. Had the fish tacos once (very good), and short ribs the last time. They were good but not great. Margaritas were very good!

First the ambience, the music was Jazz not even Caribbean music. Then when we ordered the food, the waitress did not know chicharrones were which is a typical fried pork that is used for mofongo. Then we were told we could not have a Cuban sandwich or mofongo it was either or. Then we got burnt food, not even oyr... More
