My husband and I always wanted to try some Irish food so we went to Slainte's and what a great experience. My husband had the sheppards pie which was awesome very authentic and I had the cornbeef and cabbage which was just terrific never had cornbeef shredded and they way they prepared it was again very authentic. Best Long Island around these parts. (Don't tell them I told ya.. I'm sure they hate making them lol) Price is a few dollars more than local joints nearby. Husband is Scottish so this is his favorite DT since it is closest to home. They attract nice people who will talk to you about anything. You will usually find locals... More

Stopped in for a quick nite cap before calling it an evening. Total of four people in the place including e bartender. We made it six. The three patrons that were already there were pretty well intoxicated. Place was dirty with empty bottles and pint glasses on the tables. Obviously it was too much work to pick them up.. this... Had dinner at Slainte Irish Pub with family from the area while visiting Wilmington. The atmosphere is typical of most Irish American pubs, nothing really made it stand out but it was good nonetheless. The fare is pub food with a focus on Irish and American cuisine. I had the Shepherd's Pie which was fine but a bit heavy on... More

Slainte Irish Pub provides an intimate, yet fun atmosphere. The bar staff are very helpful, and there is normally a great crowd. The only issue with Slainte is the cramped quarters. The bar is small, so room is at a premium. Still, it is a great place to get a Guinness.

We visited this pub while on vacation. It has a welcoming atmosphere. On one visit we had great service and on the next day with a different bartender we were basically ignored. No food service. Very authentically Irish. Only place we've ever seen Jameson on tap!

While walking around Front Street area, we went to the Irish Pub thinking we could get some food. Strike one, no food. Seems as it was early and we had plenty of time to eat, and the place had been recommended as a good place to have a beer to us by a local, we decided to have a beer.... More
