Great food with excellent, friendly service. A mainstay of Winston-Salem for decades, which has led to a successful business.

Burgers were okay...service was very good...fun diner atmosphere. This place has been around for over 60 years, so lots of history. Recommend checking it out when you're in the mood for a diner lunch.

Driving around, we decided on the Lighthouse restaurant based on TripAdvisor. True to ratings, the food was not fancy, but was good, clean, quick and inexpensive. The server wasn't rude but not very friendly, but she got the food right, out quickly, and checked on us. Couldn't find a single thing wrong so thumbs up. Not anything outstanding but I'd... More

Good food, family atmosphere. Great friendly staff. Not too far off the highway if you are passing through town. Worth the short detour.

A friend recommended this place for their liver & onions. I don't eat Liver often but the recommendation was glowing. I totally agree. Not a large menu but there is something for everyone.

Any meal of the day, you're as likely to see doctors, lawyers, and bank presidents as you are construction workers and farmers and police officers enjoying this restaurant's fine fare, and warm, welcoming atmosphere. This family owned and operated eatery has been a local favorite for over 50 years. It's true home style cooking, in a relaxed, comfortable, but completely... More

A bit of a flashback when you enter as the decor has not been updated in a couple of decades. I know lots of people who love this place but I can't say it's at the top of my list - sorry. Very average overall.

Good food served in a warm, inviting environment. Over the years, I've had ham, spaghetti, meatloaf, pork loin, bacon and eggs. Everything on the menu is great! There is a counter for singles, some booths for two and more that seat four. Recently they added some outside tables. There is a lot of Winston-Salem history there. I've known people who... More

I used to come to this restaurant since they were at their original location just across the street from where they are now, but slowly just stopped coming over the years. That was my mistake. This place is still amazing. Good honest food ata very reasonable price. Today I had the Tuesday Special Veal Cutlet with Steamed Cabbage and Stewed... More
