A variety of food to suit any interest. Try different choices and be surprised at the quality and quantity. On our last visit, we tried their ribeye steak and I doubt if you could ever find another steak that tasted better at any price. You have to try the salad bar as it has a big variety of fruits and... Knockoff Cracker Barrel, but not as good. Food is okay but most of it is seasoned canned, instant food. Don't order takeout! They mess it up every time.Dessert are dry and ice cold like they keep them in a freezer before serving it to you.

In this area, the suburbs of Raleigh one has many options when you want to stray from the normal chain style restaurants. In my line of work I have many a meeting over a lunch table and consequently have tried many other mom and pop style restaurants in the area. McLean's consistently has better quality food and service over the... More

The vegetables Lord have mercy the best restaurant Collards, Cabbage, Corn, and Green beans. I have eaten in a long time like Grandma time. They give you cornbread and biscuit. The fried... More

We had such hopes for McLean's and have tried it twice. Both experiences were average to below average. The first time I had the pork chops. Small in size, tough and pretty tasteless. They have a salad bar which has average options and is nothing special. It is $4.49 for a small bowl and $6.49 for a large bowl. On... More

Unfortunately small serving in salads but salad bar was fresh an tasty. Meal was a little more than average for guests who had chicken livers, my beef tips over rice were a sizable portion an melt in your mouth. The... More

We go to McLean's monthly and much to our surprise, a southern style restaurant that took fried chicken off the menu! Whaaaaaat? Yep. Sooooooo wrong in so many ways. The service is always second to none and the food is always good, but come on!

Took my dad for his birthday. Accommodated our large party, friendly staff and every one was happy with their meals. Dessert also delicious!
