On the recommendation of our hotel manager we booked a taxi and had a ride up to Taitong Seafood restaurant in Teluk Behang last night for our evening meal.It is a small family run establishment selling fresh sefood. We were promptly shown to our table...and ordered drinks. The menu was not too extensive and as we were deciding on our food choices the waitress (who we found out was called Miss Mey) came over and helped us with our choices. We chose Steamed Grouper, 2 Prawn dishes, Squid in black bean sauce, Steamed rice and a portion of Pak Choi. She weighed our Grouper so we knew the exact price, something we have been caught out with eleswhere in Malaysia. Her help and advice was excellent, the meal was superb, so fresh, we all agreed it was the best we have had in the 2 weeks we have been travelling in Malaysia. My family and I came to this spot because we were at Angsana Teluk Bahang. The food here was spot-on amazing. Especially if you're at Teluk Bahang, this spot is worth going to. Fresh Fish, various kind of vegetables and nice 3-layer tea. Delicious family...meal.More

Stayed at the hotel nearby teluk bahang and stumble on this seafood restaurant. Drove to the place and had lunch. I can say after the disappointing lunch yesterday at georgetown, this is place makes up for it. Best seafood i had so far in Penang....we we're a crowd of 13 people and we ordered cockles, thai curry prawns, soy sauce steamed grouper, two kinds of veges, sweet sour chicken, buttefly clams in chinese wine (Superior) soup and omelette. It was amazing especially the clams and prawns 5/5 would eat again.More

Very nice and classical Chinese seafood restaurant. We had a very nice dinner and enjoy those traditional way of cooking seafood. The staff is not the most friendly, but the place is nice.

Food is amazing. The Hong Kong steam fish is well suggested by the waitress, the food portion is big eventho we order 'small', so if ur a crowd of 2,my advice only take 2 dish. Price very reasonable. The sharkfin soup, is must try. But...then again.. All the dishes are yummy 😋. Service and food preparation is fast. Would definitely go again. Oh ya restaurant is pork free, the serve only seafood and vegetables, only reason no 'Halal' sign outside, is because they serve alcohol. If you not sure what to order, you can the waiter and waitress, they are friendly and their suggestions are very good.More

Beware when you ordered lobster or expensive fish. The boss will recommend those imported seafood, tell you the price per kg but they will not bring you the lobster/fish and tell you the exact weigh. When we paid, the lobster is rm3xx, fish rm1xx which...is almost rm500. The other dish is ok, consider not pricey , taste is also ok, I felt it’s a bit strong flavour. But we had no other choice as there are no other restaurants nearby. Overall, our meal cost us almost rm700, for 4 adults and 3 kids.More

We stopped here to eat some seafood for dinner and when we looked at the menu the first dish on it was the Shark's fin soup...we are both animal lovers and also divers so we spontaneously decided to leave the restaurant. We don't want to...eat in a place that makes money using this cruel action. People have to preserve all the creatures on Earth!!! The boss was very rude about our decision, and his reaction was not polite at all!More

We sat down to eat and noticed the first item was shark fin soup. We told the owner we didn't want to eat at a restaurant that serves this item. When we left he chased us down on his scooter and abused us. Do not...support a business that serves shark fin soup. It's 2020.More

Just love the place! Under an open corrugated iron roof with fans in the ceiling, plastic tables and chairs, seafood in the tanks - you can’t go wrong! We had two types of mantis shrimp - cooked in dry chili and butter, egg and oatmeal...accompanied by hokkien noodles and a large Tiger Beer. It was delicious and on a hot steamy day the beer went down a treat too. Highly recommended.More
