The Sons of Norway Kringen Lodge is open for lunch from Monday through Friday. Lunches are wide ranging from standard off the grill sandwiches to many other cold sandwiches and soups that you can have smaller portions. Prices are great. The wait staff is of all volunteers. It is a homey place and with a nice clubby environment. You don't... More

It is a welcoming and nice place that has a retro decor. It is the club of many with a Scandinavian connection but all are welcome and warmly too. It is a place that gives me a sense of belonging but yet I am definitely not Scandinavian and obviously do not look like one. I am deeply part of this... More

You have to watch for it (check lodge website), because it's an occasional offering, but Sunday brunch is outstanding. As you might expect, there are some seriously high-carb offerings. Of particular note: the French toast casserole. Finish up with rommegrot. Quiet and relaxed dining.

This is another restaurant that always has good food and if you are lucky enough to get there when they have one of their Norwegian meals it is even more special

If you are of Scandinavian heritage, you need to put Sons of Norway on your Fargo bucket list. Be sure to go on a Thursday.

If you like lutefisk, a Scandinavian specialty of dried cod reconstituted with lye, rinsed and heated up, this is the place. It is offered on several Sundays a year and typically in the winter months. It is a buffet. For those who don't, there is Swedish meatballs but why bother.

Save room for dessert! Small town, church basement atmosphere in the middle of downtown Fargo. Food is simple but good. It is served buffet/a la carte style. The average age of the wait staff is 70 yrs old. They are friendly grandmas & grandpas - some with thick Norwegian accents. Rommegrott & lefse to go.

I joined some co-workers here for a Thursday lunch and it happned to be "Pie Day", Homemade pies galore.Food was just like moms and the pie was out of this world. Decor is very charming and old school. The place was busy. I would go back here every week.

A wonderful lunch which includes several entree options and then they have 1/2 sandwiches, several types of soup and many times many types of pie available on an ala carte type of line, complete with a cashier at the end. Very busy lunch spot for professionals. $
