great atmosphere, good menu. Staff are friendly, best pub in Smithers by far. Centrally located in the heart of town. Right on main street.

Great food. Busy. Bit pricey. House Salad was exceptional. Portions large and enough to share between two.

I've been an enthusiastic patron of the Alpenhorn for about 19 years and have seen it through at least 3 separate owners. It was at its very height around 2002-8 under the ownership of Heidi Alley, and still is much better than pre-Heidi, but the menu has slowly devolved from an interesting, almost inspired (for a pub) choice of food... Truthfully, it's closer to a 3 to me as of late. If you are an out of towner, this place is probably great. For locals, its not quite the case. I used to love going here, especially for Wings night. Lately though, it seems like they aren't changing the menu up and their specials aren't anything great. Their burgers all... More

I love that you can now bring children into the Alpenhorn during dining hours. The food is always good and there's a lot of it. The mixed drinks are good and its not too loud. Karaoke night its always fun... but only for adults!

As always the alpenhorn was a great stop for dinner! They have a great pub atmosphere and the food is really good. The service was pretty good and the prices were reasonable. We'll be heading back again next time we're in town

I have been coming to Smithers for decades and although this restaurant may have changed hands, it has always remained a good quality bar and restaurant. This time I had to catch a flight, so I found a corner table to do some work, and enjoy their French onion soup. They have decent pub fare and prices are what you... More

Typical pub atmosphere. A bit noisy but the food is reliably good and the service is excellent. We had a large group of people and everyone got their meal at the same time.
