We enjoyed two absolutely delicious dinners at Mifflin's. On our first night, we shared the salmon wrapped in bacon appetizer. Wonderful! My husband had the roast beef dinner which he thoroughly enjoyed and I had the pan seared cod. It was the best cod I had on our 17 day trip. We returned the following evening with five friends. Several... More

This is by far the best little hidden gem in Bonavista. The jiggs dinner on Sundays you will need a reservation for. However, it's absolutely amazing, plentiful portions and the staff amazing. Great little tea pots and knock knacks to look at and read about the history of the building. They have great desserts locally made in the restaurant.

In October a lot of tourist businesses shut down, this includes the Mifflin Tea Room in the heart of Bonavista. Lucky for me the East Coast Music Awards were hosted in Bonavista during my visit and the Mifflin opened for the event. They were crazy busy, but the staff keep a steady head and friendly outlook during the tidal wave... More

Definitely reflective of Newfoundland culture. Good prices, quality food (not all deepfried) and a wonderful setting.

I enjoyed bacon wrapped salmon for a starter and then had the pan fried cod. Both were amazing, but I should have skipped the starter as the cod portion was huge! I could barely touch the lovely sides the meal came with and could have shared the cod and thus saved room for some of the delicious looking desserts the... More

Such a cute and cozy place with lots of interesting tea sets to keep your eyes busy. The name is a bit deceiving as it isn't really a tea house other the theme. The food is however very well done. They have a good choice of typical Newfoundland food to choose from. This is excellent. They even have a sampler... More

This is a charming tearoom which paradoxically is licensed (only in Newfoundland!)and with a good solid menu. The Mac and cheese is to die for as is the seafood chowder and cod au gratin.
