Cute cozy winter setting, lovely to see the talented chefs at work. The scallops were the best I’ve had. The duck was unreal. One of the highlights was our server Laura, an angel who was an absolute delight!

The staff were amazingly warm and friendly and the ambience sets a great tone, informal and yet upmarket. And the food: my wife had perhaps the best salmon she has ever had, and I had the amazing pulled duck. Both dishes were wonderful. Good dessert...too…. Strawberry cheesecake profiteroles! Great accompanying wine selection, reasonable prices… what’s not to like?More

Five star experience at this beautiful restaurant. We had the tasting menu accompanied by the estate wine pairings. Everything was beautifully presented and each course was described by Michelle as it was served. She explained what we’d be tasting in each of the wines, which...were a generous amount. Michelle gave us excellent service, and was friendly, personable and knowledgeable. We always eat here when in the area but last nights experience makes us want to rush back!More

My wife and I had a long overdue lunch at Le Caveau today. We had been been told of the wonderful charcuterie board at the restaurant and had made up our minds before arriving that we would be ordering it. That was it, we shared...it accompanied by some lovely Grand Pre Tidal Bay. The food was outstanding and all made in house except for the cheese. Without a doubt the best we have ever had. We arrived just before the lunch rush and had the pleasure of having the hostess (Lydia?) be our server. There are great service experiences and then there are the exceptional few that exceed even that. This was one of those experiences. All in all, our best lunch in recent memory anywhere. Thank you Le Caveau!More

From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the restaurant's wonderful staff members! We started with their beautifully presented oysters on the half shell - the oysters tasted like they had just been plucked from the sea and onto our table!...We next had their amazing Yellowfin Tuna Tartar with a sauce of Harissa aioli, creme fraiche, cured egg yolk and gaufrettes. For our entrees we had Seared "Sustainable Blue" Salmon with a Miso glaze, summer brassica, rice pilaf, ginger & spinach puree. My husband had the Brant Lake Wagyu Hanger Steak Confit with new potatoes, sauce foyot and wilted summer greens which he found to be delicious! We spent the night at the Grand Pre Inn in their luxurious and well appointed suite! Staying there meant that we could have a glass of wine with dinner and walk across the courtyard to the Inn. The next morning, we had a marvelous lunch at Le Caveau again starting with their yummy oysters. For our entrees we ordered the Scallop Spaghetti in a Garlic butter sauce and gremolata. We also ordered the Newfoundland Mussels with White curry, crisp chilis, lime and tamarind and the Lobster, Scallop and Cold Water Shrimp Chowder with Spanish almond broth, spring onions and smoked paprika to take back to our cottage for our dinner that night. Each dish was exquisitely prepared with the freshest ingredients. Thank you to CEO Beatrice, Chef Jason and each of your wonderful colleagues at the Winery, Restaurant and the Inn!More

this entire meal was a delight. We shared appetizer and main course and each had our own dessert. The slow cooked root vegetable salad was beautiful to look at and even better to eat. Soy glazed duck was delicious and the accompaniments including in season fiddleheads...were great. One of us is dairy and gluten free and the Pistachio and Oat Pave was an especially wonderful treat. We've eaten all over the world and our own home grown restaurant is among the best.More

I would best describe this place as slightly overrated. The property itself is fantastic as is the service, in my experience the food was lacking seasoning. But nothing else really wrong with it otherwise. I don’t think I’d come back just because I didn’t feel...wow’d by anything here.More

We had a very good dinner experience at Le Caveau even though we only had appetizers they were very interesting in addition to being very delicious. We opted for the charcuterie board of meats and cheeses and the shrimp wrapped in salmon to share. This...was so much that I had to change my mains to the scallops which my wife had ordered as her main too which the kitchen was able to accommodate. The charcuterie came with 3 cheeses and 4 meats including a spectacular chicken liver mousse and about 7 or 8 different pickled vegetables that were all made in house. The pickles ended up being the star of the show with the chicken liver mousse and bread. We sat outside and service was leisurely which suited us fine. If I was still in my work rush mode it may have irked me but it seemed appropriate to the ambiance which felt like we were maybe in Burgundy or Tuscany. The one negative we had is that outside of the appetizers we had there was nothing else on the menu that appealed to us which we were not expecting at a restaurant like this nor that there were no specials. Again very good overall.More

The location , the food, the wine and the absolutely fabulous team made this an amazing evening. We stayed nearby and it was wonderful to walk to the venue. We arrived and were given complementary rosé while we waited for a table outside. It was...worth the wait. The sun set while we enjoyed Sober Island oysters with our rosé. They were fabulous. The wagyu beef and confit of rabbit were wonderful. The dessert of swiss creme brulé was bold but tasty; the blueberry handpie was a reliable stand by which i thoroughly enjoyed. We capped it off with an espresso dopio and a capuccino which were fabulous. Honestly one of the best dining experiences I've had in years and certainly since busting out and trying every opportunity to dine out since the pandemic eased. Thank you so much!More

Beautifully set patio and the food was delicious. We did the pairing menu however we were disappointed that we were not given any information on the wines we were drinking with each dish. We had to keep asking what wine is this and why was...it paired with this dish. We expected from other winery experiences a higher level of pairing and dining experience. That is not to say there was bad service. The server was delightful but this was just not what they offered.More

Good evening, thank you for your message. We don't have a formal dress code, but ask for no sweat pants. Casual is fine. Some people certainly dress up, but it is not required at all. I hope this is helpful! Cheers
