What a discovery! The restaurant is traditionally decorated and elegant. The waiter was sensational. He was gracious, full of useful information about the menu and gave us a review of each dish as it was served. OMG, the best mussel soup ever. The duck dish was fantastic. All in all, a wonderful experience in what is for sure the finest... More

The staff throughout are wonderful, from reception to restaurant. The auberge has beautiful expansive gardens and the most amazing water views. The rooms are large, spacious and comfortable with a rustic theme. Don't expect ultra modern but well restored and maintained. We checked various restaurants in town and could not beat the quality, price and service at the hotel. Staff... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel concierge and they made a reservation for us. We arrived and were seated promptly. We sat and sat and sat for almost 25 minutes before we were even acknowledged! We were minutes away from walking out when our server came by and stopped! He had walked by our table multiple times... We loved our Saturday night dinner. Five course chef's menu for $54 Canadian dollars. Grill your own bread in the cozy fireplace. Terrific wine list. From the fish to the ostrich carpaccio to the filet mignon, the food was excellent as advertised. We'd be there weekly if we weren't 5 hours away!

This is dining at it's best. We got the table d'hote and were taken on the french culinary voyage as good as one can imagine. The seared frois gras (for extra $18) is worth every penny! The chowder with mussels, corn and ham warmed the soul. We adored our main dishes of Duck & Deer. The baked dessert might have... More

We enjoyed the Table d'hote for dinner here in August, 2016. The a la carte menu has the same dishes on offer. With one small exception, each of the dishes my wife and I were served were beautifully presented, imaginative and tasty. It was the best meal we ate during three nights in La Malbaie and ranks in the top... More

We booked this restaurant based on the tripadvisor rating. We were not disappointed. The food was very nice, and included a lot of regional items. Our server, Michel, was wonderful; it was clear he enjoys his job and knows the food is great! He was friendly without being intrusive and made sure our 3.5 hour meal was times to our... More

The food was very good. Each course of the table d'hôte was of very high quality. Our enjoyment was slightly tempered by the inferior table were given.

Les Trois Canards has one of the best views of the river in the area, atop the hill, and with long stretches of lawn. Really beautiful. We went for dinner (and wished we were staying as guests). The ambiance is romantic, with wood walls and floors, and an incredible view from the wall of windows. We could toast our own... More
