This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Guadalupe Valley. The food is wonderful and the selection is great. We traveled with two vegetarians and they always have a great selection for them. The wine list is very comprehensive specializing in wines from the Valle. Go around sunset. They have a wonderful view and the Valle just seems to glow from this vantage point. Enjoy!

Bread crisps with 3 sauces the least spicy has tuna in it. A smoky one with some heat and a another a bit hotter. Good sauces.
Burrito suckling pig $6.50 each that are about 4x1.5 inches so 2 make a nice smaller meal. Good flavor, not much filling. The sauces listed above went well.
Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon blend. Good with the meal $33.
Two others with me liked their food also. Wife had a steak and a duck taco. The duck one was very good and steak was a bit fatty and spicy for her.
So overall good food at a reasonable prices.
Service was fine.

Loved this atmospheric restaurant sitting right at edge of a vineyard with beautiful view. Terrific grilled dishes. I ordered a separate grilled veggies dish, plus the scallops main dish, which had 12 huge scallops. One of best salads I have ever had. The others in my group enjoyed the individual tacos, which gave you a chance to try other things on the menu. Definitely would return.

The view is gorgeous!!! The food and service are really bad. I went last Saturday with my wife and we asked for recommendations. The waiter was terrible recommending dishes. He didn’t seem to be well trained. We really want this please to be amazing but it was a big disappointment. As the founder of the BajaMed concept we were waiting a lot of the place.
I gave 2 stars just for the view. I would never recommend this place as a Restaurant. Maybe just to have a couple of drinks and enjoy the view.

Perfect for someone who wants to have a panoramic view of the Valle de Guadalupe, along with a dish specifically of Mediterranean cuisine, excellent location and price for the dishes they offer, is an option of excellence, if it is your first time going to Valle de Guadalupe I recommend them.

My husband and I went to dinner on a Saturday night. Our hotel made the recommendation and the reservation for this place and we were glad that we went. It was lively with a pretty busy dining room, but the vibe was very chill and relaxed. The staff was kind and courteous. Not everyone spoke English (not that that should be expected of course!), but all of the servers were quick at pulling the English speaking staff over whenever we had a question/concern that we couldn’t articulate using what is left of my high school Spanish vocab.
For dinner we shared the grilled vegetable chopped salad to start and it was delicious. My husband is more of a carnivore than I am and even he really enjoyed the salad. Lol!! It had a wide mixture of perfectly charred and roasted vegetables (broccoli, squash, peppers, cauliflower, etc.) with a tasty vinaigrette. I would definitely recommend ordering it. For our mains, my husband had the octopus and I had the roasted suckling pig (lechon asado). The octopus was such a generous serving— it probably could have fed both of us! The real standout was the lechon. It was perfectly seasoned and had a tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture that made you want to eat more. I would definitely recommend getting the lechon. (Please see my photo of it’s glory!) Again, very generous with the portions as well. We couldn’t finish everything but it was so tasty!
La Esperanza was a tasty and nice meal! I would definitely want to come back if I was back in the area.

We arrived at The Esperanza on the recommendation of event planner at our intended restaurant Almazara Olivas, which is now closed. So we had no expectation of what as to what we find. Feeling lucky the restaurant was nearby because by now 3:00, we were hungry. What a delightful surprise was in store for us. The venue is beautiful outdoor setting over looking vineyards. Shown to our table where cool breezes welcomed us.
The service was attentive and informative. But the food was Wonderful, yummy!!!.
My spouse had the house mixed salad and pinko/ shrimp with wonderful pepper sauce over vegetables. She raved about her meal. I started with portobello mushroom appetizer and the “fish of the day”, red snapper perfectly cooked moist flaky with a homemade tapenade. The presentation of the food was beautiful.
The only suggestion I would offer is the dessert menu seemed uninteresting. We had the chocolate layer cake, okay.
I highly recommend this La Esperanza you will be delighted by the experience.

Everything was great at this place.
We had oysters, tuna, tacos, sashimi, desserts, chef samplers and a tomahawk.
All prices were reasonable, but a tomahawk for $100+ seemed overpriced.

This was our first trip to Valle de Guadalupe wine country of Mexico. La Esperanza was our 2nd stop after visiting one of the many wineries. The restaurant sits in the middle of a vineyard. The staff is very accommodating and made some excellent recommendations. We enjoyed local fish, wonderful shredded beef, and beautiful salads.
Although we all had a different dish or two, everything was great. We will definitely dine there again.

We just stopped by after visiting the nearest winery. We had Jamaica tacos, grilled vegetables, and pork. Our waiter disappeared and didn't come back.
The Vinyard view from the restaurant was so beautiful. I would like to visit the harvesting time.

We were a group of seven friends and had dinner without reservations. The staff was accommodating and the food was great. The barbequed salad with blue cheese was incredible. The duck and lamb tacos were my favorites. I want to return and try the aged meat. The prices make this restaurant a real deal. Check the times they are open. Highly recommended.
