One of the only restaurants of note in Chiapa De Corzo. Quite sophisticated and aesthetic surroundings, with good jazz playing. Plenty (too many) of surly staff constantly hovering - either disinterested or unfriendly. The breakfast on out first visit was very good although over priced. Our second visit in the morning for coffee was quite unpleasant and even more expensive.... More

Only have been here once for the buffet but loved it. Great variety and nice to be able to taste lots of different local dishes.

This restaurant is set in an old house in the center of town. In the tropics, one wants to see tropical plants -- and they abound here. Also, in Chiapas one must hear marimba music, which you will also find here. The food is Chiapanecan, substantial, tasty and attractively presented. I have eaten here often.

This is a very large restaurant a block or so off the main square. It caters for tourist buses that stop here on the way from Tuxtia airport to San Cristobal. Consequently, it is usually very crowded. The buffet is quite extensive, although probably a little expensive by Mexican standards. It is best to go for an early or late... More

This is suppose to be the best high end restaurant in Chiapa de Corzo, located one block from the square. The sad part is they only have a buffet for lunch and it's huge and expensive. We would have preferred to order off the menu, but this buffet is impressive filled with authentic food from the region. Almost everything has... More

Jardines de Chiapa has a huge luncheon buffet but it doesn't really work for people who don't eat meat. The environment is lovely. The cost of the buffet is $16.00 which I thought was high for what I was able to eat. I would only recommend this restaurant for people who eat meat and not vegetarians. It seemed to be... More

Excellent service and good food. I loved the chocolate pozol and is perfect drink to refreshing! I visited this restaurant at least a couple of times because the traditional food of Chiapas was delicious.

A good place to try Chiapas folk cuisine. Do not eat at the embarcadero - you will be lucky not to get sick. Pay a little more but enjoy the extraordinary Cochito in this place.

Our tour group was taken here for lunch. The restaurant if very attractive and we had high hopes, but the buffet was $223 and many thought that was too much. Those who had the buffet weren't overly excited by the food. Those who ordered off the menu (tacos for $60) faced poor service and below average food. I would have... More
