We went to this restaurant located just outside of gate 5. It opened at 11am on a Friday don't let the people outside trying to get you to go to their restaurant. They told us it opened at noon. I'm glad we waited! This place is amazing, not to be missed! Except "American" prices but still a deal and an... More

I went on a Friday at lunchtime and it was empty which was nice because I read about how busy it can get, especially on weekends. I got the fajitas and they were cooked perfect. The tortillas and salsas were really fresh and very tasty.

This is very worst restaurant I have ever had the privilege of dining in. First you need a reservation and they is no method to make it. Then if you are a walk up they tell you an hour and one half wait to get you to stay and then you wait two hours plus because the people with reservations... More

The restaurant is in a dramatic setting. Tortilla is fresh. Unfortunately, I had a bad apple in the wait staff. He was very rude and condescending. Another waiter walking by noticed that I didn't have tortillas with my soup and he took care of it. He took so long to bring me change that a couple waiters asked me if... More

I was really looking forward to have dinner at this place after the show, to my surprise it was closed. I ended up at Tlacaelel, a restaurant between gates 1 & 2 and it was great, they even gave a show during dinner.

This restaurant is located just outside gate 5 entrance to the pyramids. It is in a cave and this is quite interesting place to eat. However, neither the food or the service is anything to write about as both were mediocre. The beer was served cold and it really hit the spot after visiting the ruins all day

We visited on the Day of the Dead, so there were really crazy, bizarre skeletons and flower arrangements around the cave. Very fun! We didnt book a table, but we got there around 2pm - by 3pm the restaurant was totally full. The service was fabulous and the meal was delishious. We all ordered something different, so I think all... More

The place is great. If you go to see the pyramids it's totally recommended to stop for a lunch in La Gruta. It's in a cave which is very original and very nice. The "tortilla soup" is the best I've ever had. The rest of the food (chicken fajitas and queso fundido) were just average. Even if you don't eat... More

The restaurant is minutes away from the pyramids inside a big natural cave. Not very elegant but very nice and peculiar. The food is 100% mexican including some insects hits like escamoles (ant larvae) or Chapulines (grasshoppers). There are tacos and many other good more standard Mexican dishes. I strongly recommend the place. Good fun and one of those places... More
