Best Authentic Food in Alkumal. Tucked in a corner by the town square, one block from the taxi stand. The atmoshere is asif you are eating in Imelda's home kitchen. Can't wait to go back.

Was great to eat something authentic and delicious vs the resorts! A little diamond in the rough. Great that you can byob from the drug store across the street. Def try if you get the chance.

This a great little hole-in-the-wall place. Lunch only (unfortunately), quite small, and everything is made fresh when you order. I had some of the best fried fish here that I've ever eaten, and the spicy picante sauce was excellent. Since everything is made fresh, it's...More

Imelda's was the best food we had in Akumal. Just the thing after a day snorkeling with the tortugas or lounging on the beach. Definitely recommend the lunch special.
