While staying near Xcalak in April 2012 we were given a recommendation to eat at the Leaky Palapa. It is owned by 2 wonderful Canadian women, one who tends the front and one who is an outstanding chef. The food was fresh and well prepared in very unique and interesting ways. The staff was friendly and we loved our dinner... More

What a find in a remote town at the tip of Mexico. Just when you thought you were destined to eat taco's you stumble on a five star restaurant. A must try if your in Xcalak Mexico.

On our two trips to Xcalak we ate at the Leaky Palapa as much as we could! To find such great food at an affordable price in the middle of nowhere is truly awesome. The place is charming and simple, the menu is always changing and the owners and staff are awesome. We will come back!

When you think that you have driven to the end of civilization, think again. This restaurant has some limitations of season, days of the week, and menu items, but that is very understandable considering the location. If you happen to be there when they are open, run, don't walk to make a reservation. As other reviews have noted, this is... More

An oasis filled with gastronomic delights in a very remote town of the Yucatan! believe it or not......reserve your table or you'll have to settle for enjoying a wide variety of lovely drinks at their little bar while watching others enjoy their gourmet meals :>

We ate there on one of the nights they served standard fare - but they had a great live band.

Quality food, great ambience with polite and helpful staff. The owner's are super nice and friendly. I was in Xcalak in December to start a diving course in XTC, Christmas night we had a inner party with all the friends that were also away from home and what a nice surprise it was! Again great food and great atmosphere by... More

only five things on the main menu each night but each one is excellent and presented as in a five star gourmet restaurant. Being in a small fishing village with mostly north american tourists looking for a relaxing holiday, evryone gets along and at the end of the night, evryone has become friends.

Here we are in the smallest most remote town on the Mexican Caribbean, and we have 5 star meals prepared and served by two Canadian women who clearly know what they are doing in the restaurant business. Linda, who runs the front of the house just make you feel welcome and at home with her enthusiastic, energetic personality. Marla the... More

Our restaurant combines gourmet cuisine and friendly service in a tropical garden setting. We work to achieve the perfect balance between fine dining and the casual charm of the Mexican Caribbean.
We work hard to create a tapestry of flavor, aroma, color, sound and hospitality - making us a favorite gathering spot for locals and visitors alike. Our restaurant is the place to enjoy great food in a casually elegant palapa atmosphere.
