My wife and I had lunch in the brasserie today - we haven't been there for several years. The whole experience was great - good food and a very relaxed atmosphere - no pressures... The brasserie is a retro place - similar to many restaurants in France - unhurried and very friendly service. We plan to go back soon for... More

No need to book. Excellent service. Great food - from three courses to a panini, or a combination. A special treat.

We stayed in the hotel and decided to come here for dinner. We weren't impressed as expected a high standard due to the price. The service we received was okay though, we hope for a change in the standard for next time we visit.

Food here is great. Atmosphere here is ok - hotel bar type atmosphere so quite relaxed and informal. The service is good - some excellent staff here. Have eaten here a lot and rarely have bad service. Looking forward to my next visit

We booked for a meal in the Brasserie, and the menu, although not vast, had a range of foods to suits all tastes. The food was superbly cooked and very tasty, we both had 3 courses, and were surprised when we got the bill to see that it only cost £17.50 each for the 3 courses, so the food and... More

Lovely location, friendly staff and great choice of food! The tasting menu is a must. It's gets very busy here so you need to book in advance.

Voted Cheshire Life Restaurant of the Year 2012, (with chef Chris Holland, winning North West Chef of the Year), this charming bar-restaurant is clearly already on a roll. The (very) extensive wine list ranges from classy house selections at to a bottle of Chateau Petrus 1959 – a snip at just £69,70.00! For starters, we chose to share the Seafood... More

The staff were lovely and the brasserie area was comfortable with nice decor... Unfortunately both main meals were barely ok. The sea bass was cooked well but was served with tasteless accompaniments. I had the Scampi and Monkfish in a basket but the fish was tasteless and dry. I had the lemon meringue which was really nice but again my... More

Had a good main course and dessert, drinks are a little expensive but the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

This was our first visit to the hotel and brasserie. Really enjoyed our evening.. Food was very good, and service attentive and not too formal. Ambience was relaxing. Wine list is very good indeed, yet the beer selection could do with being a bit more extensive. Only disappointment was the fact we were delayed by the till going down when... More
