For the first time since I have been reviewing, the food has totally outshone the service. It didn't start good unfortunately. I was stood at the side of the bar ready to be seated and 3 members of staff just walked past me without battering an eyelid, I had to flag someone down to even be noticed. The restaurant it's... I have visited here before and again was not disappointed. With leak and potato soup to start with the gammon and eggs with hand cut chips and some bread and butter with a couple of pints for £20 is a great deal.

We booked a table for twenty to celebrate my birthday. The service was fantastic and we all enjoyed our meals. I had the lamb henry and it was delicious. I will be eating there again very soon.

This must be the third or fourth time I've eaten here and it has continued to fail to deliver. I had the beef stroganoff today - I've never had such a bland dish since that bowl of semolina in primary school! I added salt and pepper to make it palatable but given this is one of the more expensive "mains'... More

I had the gammon egg and hand cut chips with a side off garlic bread with cheese. When it came out I was surprised to see two eggs and loads of hand made chips as well. The pub also had four real ales on tap and they do specials on a Monday night as well. Great food and beer at... More
