Unbelievably good - great food all round for a party of 20, nobody was unhappy with any part of their meal. Fast service, polite staff, really lovely place to eat and a great location. Couldn't give any higher praise, especially at such a good price point.

Having previously had the best Sunday lunch ever at the Plough, I was disappointed with their Christmas offering. The Aricini balls were stodgy, the stuffing and pigs in blankets barely cooked and the rest of it was average. I realise it's difficult at Christmas time so I'll probably give them another chance. The service was excellent.

The food is excellent with generous, even too generous (?) portions and plenty of vegetables. The staff are friendly and attentive. Booking is usually needed at busy times. The environment is tidy and well maintained although not particularly sophisticated. No children under 14 allowed so that rules out families.

I have always loved this pub but haven't visited for a while until last week. I chose the roast lamb dinner and the meat was lovely, however the veg was very undercooked. I don't mind al dente but to be honest like my veg cooked "properly". I hate brocolli so didn't bother with that but the carrots were hard, even... More

Stopped here before just for a drink and couldnt wait to come back to eat. My partner had the 16oz T-Bone steak - it was cooked to perfection and one of the best steaks he has had. My beef roast dinner was lovely. We both had puds and Ive got to say the white choc chunk ice-cream is lovely but... More

Called into this lovely Pub with some friends good beer etc. Clean and well kept. Everything you could wish for, with the exception of the Bar staff addressing everyone as Mate, you OK mate, what can I get you mate. annoying and un- necessary.

Booked a table for Friday night and the place was mobbed by those waiting for the firework display however, we were seated reasonably quickly and ordered drinks, We had to wait quite a long time for someone to take our order and although the restaurant was quite busy it felt understaffed. The food was good but my steak was served... More
