This is a small "greasy spoon" cafe in a side street of the town. Frequented mainly by tradesmen in working clothes & muddy boots. The menu is what you would expect for a place like this with the attendant tomato sauce smeared somewhere on it. Not to be recommended. Much better value & cleanliness down the road at Wetherspoons.

Nothing spectacular other than plain simple food, reasonable prices, friendly and clean. Its a good place to eat, but dont expect a gourmet menu. Its good! Would I go back?.......Yes!

This was our first visit found by chance as it is situated off the main street. The cafe wasn't very busy but we were given a warm welcome by the staff. The menu had 3 excellent choices of breakfast which was reasonable in cost in fact the prices were good on the menu. Personally, I try not to too many... More

Popped in for breakfast Saturday morning. No airs and graces and menu was standard fare. Good value with bacon and egg on toast plus a cup of tea was about £4.80. Quick service Friendly owner, chatting with customers, offering me a newspaper

Had a small breakfast which was huge. Hate to think what large breakfast would be like. Had a decaf tea. Good service and good value for Monies.

My wife and I visited Sally's for a quick cup of tea and a slice of apple pie. We were very pleased with the service and the food. The woman behind the counter was friendly and cheerful, and the food was reasonably priced and very tasty. Would definitely go again.

Had two breakfasts here recently which were very good value. Carol (?) is lovely. (She worked in the market hall cafe) We didn't have to wait long, a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Thankyou, we shall be returning again.

We recently went to this cafe for lunch as I had family visiting for Christmas. Two members of my family had the steak & onion sandwich, another had a bacon sandwich and I had the omelette. The food was great and very tasty. The cafe was busy but the service was superb. I have also been in here in the... More

Proper cafe breakfasts how they used to be. Uncomplicated, delicious, and big portions! Proper tea and toast with your meal. Can visit, have a huge breakfast and not break the bank. A true local institution
