Lovely village café for a filling breakfast en route to Scafell . We rang in advance and the staff were really helpful in letting us reserve the back room for our group. The range of pasties and cakes as you come through the door is...More

Broughton is a lovely village and the cakes and bread on sale here make it well worth a visit. Got some nice goodies which we enjoyed at teatime. There is a lovely grocery shop and butcher too on the same street. Well worth sticking up...More

This was an award winning bakery with previous owners. Sadly not what it used to be. Product prices are same but it's obvious they aren't using the same quality ingredients. You used to be able to taste the Green and Blacks chocolate but now the...More

Having treated ourselves to bread and cakes during the week we decided to have breakfast before our journey home and it was lovely. Service swift and food fresh.

Stopped in towards the end of a long journey to get lunch. Latte was good. BLT roll was nice and served with an interesting salad and a few crisps all on a sodden board.

They took something on that was so wonderful in every way and have turned in into a bad copy of what it was, still serving the same cakes and selling less bread that was on offer with less flavour, sure you make change but they...More

Description
At Broughton Village Bakery /Cafe we start baking at 4am to laden our large farmhouse table with freshly made artisan breads, pies, pasties, chunky sausage rolls, quiches, cakes and tray-bakes. Our takeaway service also offers generously filled sandwiches made with our own bread and fresh homemade soups. Alternatively you can sit in our modest, cosy 32 seater cafe which offers free Wi-Fi, magazines, chalks and blackboards (!) or on comfy sofas in front of the wood burning stove. Our menu has been created around our bakery produce offering down-to-earth, good quality food made from flavoursome ingredients which are sourced locally and organically.
